Overall a great place to stay. Can’t get any closer to the beach than staying here. Parking can be a little challenging, but that’s nothing major. Recommend staying if you are looking for a great beachfront house.

This house has amazing views! Most days we were there the double red flags were up, so not much swimming, but the view more than made up for it! Kids had so much fun playing in the sand and all adults enjoyed being right on the ocean. Even from inside the house, it feels like you are on a cruise ship with a balcony. All you see is the ocean from the wall of windows across the back of house. The porch set up provided ample shade under and directly in front of porch after noon, but still there was plenty of sun to enjoy just beyond that. Our whole family felt this was the best house we have ever stayed in due to it's location directly on the beach. We will definitely stay here again!!

This location was incredible! Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for my family to spend our beach vacation. However, back steps weren’t able to be used, the bathtub didn’t plug and wasn’t able to be filled, there were unsecured cables under the house, and the back entrance to the house was extremely narrow for carrying belongings inside. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Could use some outdoor furniture and chairs for the back deck. Overall, we loved this house and were so grateful to be so oceanfront!

We have two small boys who loved playing on the beach so the home was very convenient with easy access to the home for nap time and play.

This home is situated literally ON the beach. Nothing between it and the water but sand. It was so nice to look out the windows and watch the sun rise in the morning and enjoy the birds and dolphins playing in the waves. It is well furnished; not fancy, but definitely comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 7 to enjoy for the week and there were extra beds if we'd needed them. This is not a criticism, but only a note for those for whom it matters: it would not work well at all for those with accessibility needs due to parking being on loose sand and no access into the home except via several stairs.

Such a peaceful neighborhood, particularly in the winter. The waves literally come under the house at high tide and you cannot beat the sun and moon rises. The kitchen is well-equiped and furniture very comfortable. We were even able to screen a few soccer matches. The parking could pose a challenge depending on the tides and weather, but we felt confident with our AWD.

We loved this house!! It's so cute and has the perfect location to the beach! This house actually had screens in most of the windows which a lot of these house do not that we have stayed in. You could leave the windows open and hear the ocean all day and night! It was very peaceful here. I went with my mom and my two kids for three nights. We had plenty of room. You could comfortably fit probably 6-8 people in this house. For sure could squeeze 10-12 with the sleeper sofa but it would be tight. We loved the house! Kitchen could use some restocking & some bed upgrades but other than that it was wonderful! The bunk bed room was cool. My kid made a fort with blankets and loved it! The TV in the bunk room needs an upgrade. The other rooms were ok. The driveway was a little tricky because of the accumulation of sand. We did not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle so we didn't park all the way up on the driveway the first night we were there. A person cleared some of the driveway with a bobcat while we were staying so we were able to get all the way up the driveway the remainder of our stay. When leaving I got too close to the dune behind our house and temporarily got stuck so be careful/cautious of that if you do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We loved this house and would definitely stay again!

If you are searching for a family and pet friendly beach house, Ruth's Haven is the place. Waking up to the sunrise with a cup of coffee is just what we needed to start our day. No need to lug beach gear or pack up a cooler which is a major convenience Plenty to eat around town- highly recommend Blue Water Grill but we did not like Sugar Creek (service was ok but the food was inedible and overpriced) Pro- location Con- the house needs to be deep cleaned and exterminated. But overall- I highly recommend Ruth's Haven.

It was so lovely being right on the beach. Even when the weather didn’t cooperate, we could watch the waves and the dolphins. The house was very comfortable (except for the one queen mattress in the front bedroom). Kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed.

Really enjoyed our stay in this classic beach house which is perched on the beach itself. Amazing sun rises and prefect spot to get away from it all and relax with the family. We look forward to returning.

Great house, spacious and perfect location in Nags Head. You are right on the beach and you are basically parking on the beach so you need and AWD vehicle and there will be times when the wind will be high and your car will be covered in sand

Loved my morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise and every once in awhile the dolphins showed up. The beach was perfect. Loved everything about it!
