Nearby you will find something for everyone regarding restaurant choices... from pizza to pasta, fresh seafood, bbq and bagels. Also nearby are two full service grocery stores, both are open all year. Whalehead Beach is one of most family friendly, wide open beaches you will find on the Outer Banks. This popular vacation destination spot features large homes and lots and is also near Corolla attractions.

While on the Outer Banks make time to visit the Whalehead Club, The Currituck Lighthouse and take a drive to Carova to see the famous Corolla Wild Horses. Once the kids are out of the pool, tell them to get dressed and be sure to take in the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama on Roanoke Island. It is a little drive to Manteo but well worth it.

The house was lovely! I stayed with some friends but it would definitely be suitable for a large family as well. Plenty of entertainment spaces from the living room upstairs to the pool and grill area, to the game room downstairs. The walk to the beach was short and easy and the views from the top deck were great. Even on rainy days there are puzzles and board games to keep you entertained. I would definitely recommend to others and could very well see myself booking this place again in the future.

The house was furnished well. Liked location and ocean biews. Only downside was in king master shower. Water did not drain well and no shelf to put your soaps and shampoo in shower. Otherwise great house.

The location was perfect, short walking distance to the beach. The amenities were abundant. The owners thought of everything. Between the kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathroom, and the outside, there wasn’t anything we felt was missing. There was some dings that occur over time but nothing other than normal wear and tear. The only fault I can find would be to the master shower floor. It is not slanted toward the drain which caused water to puddle in the middle of the floor. This resulted in us standing in water during our shower.

June 2018 Stay

We had a fantastic time. My husband and I have 6 adult children between us. We gave this vacation to them as a Christmas gift. We also took my father in law who had never seen the ocean. The house was absolutely beautiful and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The personal touches throughout the home were wonderful. Everyone had an amazing time.

June 2018 Stay

We had a great time at Hip Nautic! There were 11 of us who made the trip, 8 of which were between the ages of 9-13. They all had a blast and were kept very busy :) One of the nicer places we have stayed in OBX!

November 2017 Stay

We had a fantastic week. The house was very nice and we loved the location. We went on vacation to heal from 2 tragic deaths this year and that was accomplished. No tears or sadness all week. Thank you so much
