As described, very comfy. The pool + hot tub got used alot. Beach is close! You can hear waves!! Suggest that the cabinet with storage containers be organized. Lots of lids without containers. The office was easy to contact + communicate with.

Shell's Shack was a great beach vacation home in Corolla! It is perfectly situated on Corolla drive, making it central to everything one can do in Corolla - walk to the beach, go to the shop, restaurants, and local activities, etc. The house itself is top notch, it had all you could ask for from a Corolla beach house perspective - plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, space for activities (especially for large families), nice pool and hot tub, great shaded outdoor bar area, and a bonus putt putt golf area! Not to mention, it is also dog friendly which was great being able to bring our pups along to enjoy the beach fun. Overall, I'd highly recommend Shell's Shack as well as Village Realty for making the whole rental process easy and smooth.

This place is well kept and clean. Includes sand volleyball court, putting green, outdoor grill and picnic table, 5' deep pool, hottub, roof covered bar area by pool, outdoor shower. There are beach chairs, skin boards, boogie boards and cart for hauling things to beach. There is second and third floor decks w a hammock and chairs. Inside is pool table, well stocked kitchen, 3.5 baths, 5 bedrooms. Its about 1/4 mile walk to beach on boardwalk.

House was very nice, clean, and well supplied. This was our first experience with Village Realty, and we were pleasantly surprised. We have used several realty companies over the many years we’ve come down to OBX, and this was the best experience. Everything was done very well and the communication was top-notch. Fantastic home! Lots of space. Well designed for families. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of DVDs, books, board games. TVs in each bedroom is very nice since we all have different bedtimes and different tastes. Office/den was useful for those who had to work part of the time. Pool was great, perfect size for our small family. The walk to the beach was a few blocks long but it was on a boardwalk and not on the street, so safer with kids. A terrific beach house!

Lovely property. Outside space was fantastic. Kitchen was well stocked. Unfortunately, sheets were not provided for upper bunk beds so 2 of our grandchildren needed to share a bottom bunk bed. Also, we were not able to get into the house until after 4:30pm as the cleaning crew were late finishing up.

This house was perfect for our family and our needs. Although three streets back from the ocean it’s an easy quick walk to the beach. The smart TVs in all rooms were great for late night tv watching, the large dining table was perfect for game nights, and the kitchen had everything we needed! Having the pool, hot tub, basketball hoop, and putting green were wonderful. We couldn’t ask for anything more when it comes to all the amenities the house has to offer. What we were very unhappy with was the cleanliness of the house. Upon arrival at 4pm there were landscapers here and someone from Village Realty doing an inside repair. Not a big deal! When we made it inside the house we found pretty much all the kitchen dishes were dirty. Food stuck to plates, dried coffee in mugs, and we pulled out a drink pitcher that looked like it had been outside in the sand, and then put away without being washed. The floors were dirty; crumbs on the kitchen floor, smashed Doritos on the master floor, and it looks like the stairs hadn’t been vacuumed in a very long time. The bathrooms had visible hairs on the floor and we found clothes in the master bedroom dresser drawers and the dryer. The bunk room has an empty water bottle on the floor along with an empty beer box, and empty chip bag. The outside bar had food on the counter and stuff in the mini fridge At first we thought maybe the house hadn’t been cleaned yet, but then realized the beds had clean sheets so we believed it had. At this point it was already after 4pm and we didn’t want to call and complain. I didn’t want to wait outside while an irritated cleaning crew (because we had complained) came back to clean again. I don’t feel this is the fault of the owner and don’t want this review attached to this specific house. I can assure you we will be leaving the house cleaner than we found it and I’ll leave someone else’s clothes on top of the dresser. I’ll throw away someone else’s trash from the bunk room and outside bar area because I don’t want to be charged for it.

Shell’s Shack was perfect! We had a wonderful stay at Shell’s Shack. The house is very spacious, well equipped and clean with tons of amenities. Super easy access to the beach with just a 5 minute walk in a great community. We can’t wait to come back!
