For a house that is not directly on the beach, the location can’t be any closer. The house itself was nice and clean, although a little bit dated on the interior. I would certainly stay there again

OMG! We absolutely love Critics Choice. This is the second year we have stayed in the house for the annual Seafood Festival (which if you’ve never been you should). It’s in the ideal location for just about everything. And having a beach access across the street is worth the money by itself. Now to Village- everyone I’ve dealt both times has been cheery, helpful, gracious, warm and great to deal with. Hillary has been a special gem! You won’t be disappointed with Village or Critics Choice!

We had a great week at the beach! Weather was almost perfect. Critics Choice had many amenities that most of the homes we have have stayed in did not. Perfect location without being right on the beach!! Thank you.

Very clean and well maintained house. Furnished with pots, pans, utensils and pretty much anything you need to make a meal. We had a few trivial maintenance issues that were dealt with immediately upon reporting ( we accidentally overloaded a breaker. Totally our fault) Beautiful stay. This is my second year with this company and I couldn’t be more pleased.

We enjoyed our stay. Although we had a couple of issues with the house (both ice makers did not work; water leak from downstairs ice maker resulting in wet carpet and horrible smell) we were very happy with the quick & professional response from Village Realty staff. A couple of things that would improve future stays, grill is rusted out where flames come out, so heat is not distributed evenly. Also, the kitchen could be equipped better, but we found what we needed and made due. I found a broom but no dust pan to pick up after sweeping. Other than that we had a wonderful stay, great location and if we can afford it, we would consider renting this house again. We would absolutely rent from Village Realty again.

Our family gathered here for a week of fun and sun! OBX did not disappoint! Critics Choice was a fabulous place to gather. Will definitely be back! Thanks Village Realty for the great location, clean and comfortable home! Throughly enjoyed every minute!

We loved our stay in Critics Choice! We had plenty of room for our family in for our son's wedding! The location was great! We could be on the beach in no time! Everything was perfect!

The house is literally RIGHT across the street from public beach access, so it couldn't have been more convenient. From the decks on the front of the house, you can look out and see (and hear) the ocean. The street that it is on, South Virginia Dare Trail (SR-12) is one of the main thoroughfares, but it's not SO busy that you would have to really worry about kids or pets with the traffic. However, there were a couple of mornings that loud vehicles driving down the road woke us up (the weather was perfect weather to have the windows open). Overall, the house is in very good condition. On the ground floor is a rec room with a big screen TV and pool table, that we were not aware was in the house. The pool wasn't open while we were there, so I can't comment about it. The hot tub worked well...I wish it was in a location closer to the house, but it was still nice. Village Realty was great to work with, they were very professional, and their app for use with your smartphone was a very nice touch that I was not expecting. There was no need to go to the rental office, as there's a keyless lock, and they provide your code in the app a couple of days prior to your arrival. For the price, it was hard to beat for an 8 BR / 8.5 BA house that is essentially right on the beach. We may stay i a different town the next time we're in Nag's Head just to try something different, but we would go back to this house, and rent from Village Realty, again in a heartbeat.

stayed here for OBX, and we'll loved it! Everything was with in walking distance and it's peaceful on this end also ;)
