In addition to having the beach as your backyard, this pet-friendly home includes a fabulous outdoor recreation space that can double as a dog run for your furry friends. From there, you'll have effortless access to the beach where you can spend the day swimming, surfing, fishing or shelling - the possibilities for around-the-clock oceanfront fun are endless.

Back at the house, the open-concept layout in the great room allows everyone to admire the unobstructed ocean views. Upgrades include vaulted ceilings, a cozy gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the view. French doors lead to a rec room located right off the main living area, furnished with a pool table for some friendly competition and indoor entertainment. The chef in your group will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen with island for plenty of prep space. Gorgeous hardwood floors flow throughout the top level, including the primary bedroom. This ocean-facing retreat includes a beautifully remodeled bath where you can pamper yourself with a spa-like experience.

The mid-level consists of four more bedrooms, two of which are ensuite making Ocean Crest the ideal choice for multiple or extended families. All four bedrooms on this level offer an ocean view along with deck access, so you can wake up to the sunrise and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Downstairs, you'll find the sixth bedroom, a full bath and an additional full-sized fridge for storing extra groceries or the catch of the day.

Situated at the east end of Shore Drive, Ocean Crest offers a central location where you'll be just minutes from the very best Rodanthe has to offer. This quaint coastal village is the ideal setting for a laid back, slower-paced vacation while still having conveniences and dining options nearby. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or enjoy the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound.

Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay.

Amazing house!! Perfect location in a quiet cul-de-sac with private & easy access to the beach. Loved that we were within walking distance (right down the road) to ice cream, shopping, donuts, pizza, miniature golf & delicious coffee from a super cute coffee shop each morning. It exceeded our expectations!! The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Super dog friendly with a nice dog run area in the back, which was very useful. The elevator was great for the grandparents in our party who could not go up & down stairs easily. Absolutely loved watching the sunrise from the deck & sitting outside enjoying the ocean views in the evening. And being this close to the ocean was priceless!! 100% would recommend this house.

Our family loved the property and how welcoming the area was to having our dogs with us almost everywhere, aside from a few meals out. We really appreciated that Rodanthe had a tight-knit feel, with the beach being the main attraction—which was exactly what we were looking for. It was perfect being able to set up our beach gear and come and go from the house whenever we wanted. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to upgrade the grill. A propane option would have been much more convenient. Also, the beds could use an update for added comfort. Just minor suggestions, though, we still fell in love with the area and the home, and I’m happy to give it a five-star review.
