Our family visits the Outer Banks every year, but this was our first time ever staying at Fish Tank. We all agreed it was our best OBX vacation ever. The house was perfect for our family—it was close to the beach, super close to the grocery store and amenities, and fit our needs perfectly. Not to mention, it was super affordable. We hope to stay at Fish Tank again!!

Fish Tank is a wonderful home with great access to the beach and convenient to the grocery store and a couple places to eat. We were in a great location to truly unwind. This house has the best kitchen and inventory of dishes and gadgets of anywhere I have ever stayed. Every person in my family said they would be happy to come back to the house year after year.

It was the perfect venue to celebrate my son’s graduation from college. We had 8 adults and plenty of room. I loved the openness of the top floor. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and then some. While we weren’t on the beach it was so close it felt like we were. Absolutely amazing. Hoping to go back to celebrate our son graduating with his MBA in 8/2025

Can’t say enough great things about the fish tank. House is beautiful. Close to the ocean. Pool and hot tub were amazing. Everyone felt right at home. We loved the board games at night. Had everything you needed to make dinner and had plenty of dishes and utensils. Restaurants and stores are close by and the 4x4 beach to see the horses. Amazing spot!!

We have come to the Outer Banks before and have always loved it here. This is our first time staying in Fish Tank and hopefully not our last. This house is wonderful. Beautifully decorated, layout is awesome, close to the beach, and by far the best house in the neighborhood. The pool and hot tub were great. The inside and outside are clean and kept up nicely. The amenities were perfect and access was easy. We loved the keyless entry. I highly recommend staying in this house!!

This was our second year spending a week at Fish Tank, again with our friends the Payne`s. We were delighted to see all the improvements since our last visit (nothing negative here, improvements were to the exterior). The weather was spectacular, no rain until the morning we checked out. If you are looking for a very nicely appointed home close to the beach, then Fish Tank should be on your to do list. The Long`s are exceptional hosts and Village Realty is very responsive to any needs that may arise . Fish Tank is convenient to the beach, and centrally located to a lot of activities and great restaurants . The kitchen is fully equipped and well appointed. We plan to return again soon. What can I say! That Fish Tank is all that we expected and more! Lovely decor, a throughly stocked kitchen, a great assortment of beach necessities, games, books, I could go on. Fabulous location, great view. We would highly recommend staying here. Fish tank will not disappoint you!

We absolutely love coming every year to The Fish Tank. This year was a little different with construction happening nextdoor, in between the rain. I’m sure it will be finished by next year. We still had a very fun vacation.

Wow-we were absolutely blown away by this cozy and welcoming beach house! We traveled with two other young families, and with three toddlers running around, it was important that we had a space that we could settle into quickly. The Fish Tank was all that and more! The bright and airy space was so refreshing for all of us. We loved being steps away from the beach and just minutes away from the grocery store. Fully stocked kitchen (all the appliances, dishware, etc) was a huge bonus as well. The Fish Tank truly exceeded our expectations, and our time at that house will live on in our memories for years to come!

Our first family vacation to the Outer Banks was close to perfect. Fish Tank is a short walk (5 minute) to the beach/beach access. The grocery store and other shops are less than a half mile away. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was in excellent condition. There was also plenty of beach stuff at the house if you know where to look ;) I struggled to find any complaints with our stay... and the only ones I had are almost inconsequential. Overall, the house was clean when we arrived, except for the grill outside. We got quite the surprise when attempting to reposition the grill and the grease from the "grease catcher" spilled all over the place. The bedrooms at the front of the house get a lot of sunlight in the morning, but that`s just one of the tradeoffs of facing the ocean/sunrise. We also had a lot of mosquito-type bugs trying to invade the house during our last two nights so be mindful when entering/exiting the house at night.Minor quibbles aside, I would recommend Fish Tank to anyone looking for a rental house in Corolla. We appreciated our time there as well as the reduced traffic with a Sunday check-in. The 4pm check in time was not ideal but we made it work. We will definitely consider booking Fish Tank again next year, however, the lack of incentives (i.e., discount) for repeat renters doesnt exactly inspire loyalty.
