M045: Living On Beach Time

I really liked this house (except for the tiny frogs that wanted to get inside). The very spacious living room area with plenty of seating space, the huge dining table, 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers were all helpful and a plus for our large family. I can't speak to the other 7 beds, but ours was comfy and we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked to cook most anything. The alarm on the pool level doors was unexpected, but an appreciated bonus. We had 5 cars, so having enough convenient parking space was welcomed. The house was clean, comfy and up-to-date. We did have a problem with the key code on the front door needing new batteries, so a staff member was sent to remedy that. I mentioned to him about a loose rail on one of the upper balconies, so he repaired that as well - excellent, professional and friendly service. We spent the majority of our time at the pool and hot-tub. There were plenty of sunny and shady spots for those who needed to take a break from the water. We used the grill several times and I appreciated it being separated from the pool and sitting areas. The one downside to staying in the Corolla area, which bears no reflection on the house, is the entering and exiting traffic. We sat in traffic on the day we arrived for a good hour, and it took us 2+hours to reach Highway 12 on the Saturday morning that we left. That speaks to the popularity of the area so it will remain an ongoing issue, but as for this rental home, it was one of my favorites. If the decision on which rental house to choose for next summer was left solely to me, I would choose this home again with no hesitation.

We love the house... great, well stocked kitchen... wonderful relaxation, conversation areas... Big dining table seats 12. Two refrigerators. The swimming pool and pool table and hot tub were highlights... everyone enjoyed them-- many hours of fun. Lots of televisions. On the down side... the floors were not so clean when we arrived. The second dishwasher doesn't work and evidently has been nonfunctional for some time.

Have vacationed in the OBX for 20 years and and have rented in Monterey Shores on multiple trips, but have never done it with Village Realty. Communication with this company concerning multiple aspects of the rental was the best we've ever experienced. Fortunately we had no issues with the house, which was obviously an older building but well maintained.

Wonderful home. Very accessible to the beach and shops. Plenty of room for families to share. Loved the pool and hot tub. Highly recommend!
