Almost Home is the destination you've been searching for! This oceanfront retreat in South Nags Head offers everything you need for a laid-back OBX vacation. From the direct beach access and unobstructed ocean views to the private saltwater pool and hot tub, Almost Home isn't just a place - it's a state of mind. Dogs are welcome, so bring your furry friends to join you for long walks on the beach.

Start each morning on the top level oceanfront deck with a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. When you're not on the beach or lounging by the pool, relax in the open-concept great room with a cozy fireplace and fabulous ocean views. The remodeled kitchen boasts granite countertops and is fully stocked for meal prep. The first king bedroom is located off of the kitchen, with access to a full hall bath. Downstairs, you'll find three more bedrooms and a second full bath. There's also a den that can serve as an additional hangout space and leads out to an oceanfront deck with bubbly hot tub.

Conveniently located at Milepost 17.5, Almost Home provides the tranquility of the all-residential South Nags Head area while still being close to grocery stores, shopping and dining. Take a bike ride or short drive to Sam & Omie's for brunch and their famous Bloody Marys, then make your way across the street to Jennette's Pier for some of the best fishing and surfing conditions on the East Coast. At dinnertime, head over to the causeway where you'll find legendary Outer Banks restaurants including Sugar Creek, Tale of the Whale, and Lone Cedar.

Pets allowed - adult dogs only. No smoking/vaping. Ask about our Military Discount. CANCELATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO Village Realty in writing. In case of cancelation, all monies will be refunded less a $150 cancelation fee if you cancel 31 or more days prior to arrival. If you cancel 15-30 days prior to arrival, you will receive a 50% refund. Any cancelations within 14 days of arrival will not be subject to a refund.

Wonderful location with a cozy living room with fire place which was wonderful during our winter season visit. Enjoyed the hot tub with the ocean waves in the background. Loved watching the dolphins from the upstairs balcony. Needed this getaway and home to plan another one again in 2026!

Place was great. Looked exactly like the photos. This house had the most kitchen utensils we had in any house, which was perfect. We loved the long private driveway. Hot tub was great as well. Thank you for allowing pets. Not sure who placed the trash can near the entry to the beach but it was perfect for when we took our dogs out to potty.

Have stayed at Almost Home for many trips that were always enjoyed. They have been doing some major renovations including new bathrooms and a pool is currently being installed …not thrilled with pool as in awkward location that messes with parking and I fear the rent may go above budget for us and we go for the ocean!!! Walk in shower upstairs is very nice and the new mattresses are great. House is a well kept smaller, older home perfect for our needs. The location is perfect and views of ocean (including the surf) are super from upstairs. The beach is great…does not disappear at high tide so great to walk by at any time. Villages Realty was very good and polite as a company.
