* KH1829: Straight Up With a Twist

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The house is a bit dated in some aspects but has some nice updates and is a good comfortable spot. Plenty of room in the kitchen and living areas. Nice furniture inside and outside on decks and by the pool. We really appreciated the safety alarm on the back door to make sure that our young kids weren't out at the pool until attended. It's loud but worth it to keep them safe! The pool is lovely and clean and the walking distance to the beach is very short and easy. Beach amenities stored in the garage were a nice extra. The location is nice, easy walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The only big negative, as seen in other reviews, are the mattresses. The queens are way too firm, the twin is way too soft and squished almost flat when laid on. The bunk mattresses are fine though. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The perfect size house for our 5 adults, 3 kids, and 1 dog. We had everything we needed (except a vegetable peeler and a kid's stepstool for the bathroom, both of which we purchased and donated to the house) and we had a great week.

Over all this home was great. We chose it because it was dog friendly, was fenced in and we could walk to the beach. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kids wished the pool would have been open of course. We would definitely stay here again. The middle floor has 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. We didn’t need to use the bottom floor at all but it had a sitting area with fridge, sink, TV and a bathroom. We spent most of our time at the beach. Duck Donuts isn’t far and we made a couple trips there ??. Walmart is also close so we did a pick up order the evening we arrived. There was a Kurig and coffee pot available. The house could use some wine glasses. There were 4 Champagne glasses but no wine glass. Not a big deal but wanted to suggest it.

We stayed at Straight Up with a Twist Memorial Day weekend 2025. Our adult children were able to join us so we had a great time! The location was top notch and the views were nice. We enjoyed walking to Rundown Cafe for lunch and the beach access was very close. Would love to stay there again in the future!

Exactly what we needed for a quick holiday get away. Few minor things like heating not keeping up. But overall was a great experience. Loved the little care package left for us when we arrived!
