SR419: Haven Of Rest

House was beautiful in a great location. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay. The game room was very nice and there was plenty of space/bedrooms. Having a hot tub and pool is great. We unfortunately couldn’t use the pool because of the weather. There were some things that I wanted to bring to someone’s attention that could have been improved. The yard was not well maintained and overgrown. The beds overall were not very comfortable. I did find a foam pad and was able to put that on the master which helped but was still quite uncomfortable. The washing machine had sand and dirt in it when we got there. It also is quite rusted on the inside edges so clothes catch on it easily. The living room furniture has a number of stains on them and the couch has 0 support left in it. The children’s chair was broken and should have just been removed. One of the windows in the master on the top floor the piece to open and close the blinds was broken and missing so we could not adjust them. It also would be nice to have some curtains or something over the door in that room so we have the option to block the light in the morning if we want the room darker to sleep in. The remote for the tv in that room also would not turn on the tv. It had to be done with the button on the actual tv and then we could not adjust the volume either. The hot tub also seemed like it had way too much chlorine in it. It was so strong that our eyes were burning just sitting in the water because it was so potent.

We appreciated you bringing them to our attention and have taken the following actions: - Landscaping was notified and the yard maintenance schedule was adjusted. - Mattresses will be inspected; we are adding pads where needed and evaluating replacements for any that are uncomfortable. - The washing machine was cleaned and serviced; we are evaluating the drum/edges for repair or replacement to prevent snagging. - Living room furniture and the couch were scheduled for professional cleaning and an assessment for repair or replacement. The broken children’s chair has been removed. - The master bedroom blind hardware was replaced and we are adding a window covering option to reduce morning light. - The bedroom TV remote and controls were checked and replaced as needed. - The hot tub was tested and chemical levels were adjusted; we’ve scheduled more frequent checks to prevent strong chlorine levels. The house is beautiful and clean and lots of room … be prepared to climb steps though but it’s good exercise … I plan on staying again next year … absolutely wonderful time and memories .

Everything was amazing. Had to do a little bit of cleaning when we arrived. Vacuum, sweeping and mopping but other than that it was clean. Might want to leave instructions on how to use living room tv. Took a bit to figure out the volume in the living room and could never find the sleep timer in the mid level master. Other than that it was Ana amazing stay. Beautiful house nice quiet neighborhood. I would definitely rent again.

This rental was fantastic. Great place to stay with a larger group. We were pleasantly surprised that there were actually additional outdoor chairs and furniture that were not shown in the current photos on the listing. So everyone was able to sit on their respective floors/decks in the morning and enjoy some breakfast and coffee. The pool and hot tub were amazing, especially the hot tub in the evening when it was a bit cooler out. Both the pool and the hot tub were very clean and well maintained. Location was very convenient for everything that we had planned for the weekend. Stores in close proximity. We enjoyed an evening at Shaka’s Bar & Grill which was an absolute blast and only a few minutes away from the property. The beach was a very short drive from the house and surprisingly we didn’t have any issues with finding parking which was a surprise given that we were in the area for Memorial Day weekend. If you’re looking for a good place stay in OBX, I would highly recommend this property. I would definitely be interested in staying here again.

This property in Nags Head was the perfect location for my friends and I. We were in town for a wedding and decided to make a long weekend vacation out of it. The pool and hot tub were great options for those who didn’t want to walk down to the beach. Village Realty provided clear instructions before our stay which made check in and checkout very easy. Would recommend.

We were very pleased with the house. It was too chilly for the pool but definitely utilized the hot tub. It was cozy but we still had room to get away. Nicely stocked kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood.

The only thing I would change about this house is there should be a refrigerator downstairs so when you’re swimming you don’t have to climb up the steps to get a drink. I also would have a trash can downstairs too for the same reason. Other than that the house was great and my children very much enjoyed the pool. The beds were super comfortable and the bath upstairs was huge. I also liked how quiet the neighborhood was.

Absolutely wonderful property in an even better area. Highly recommend staying here for an OBX get away. Loved the pool and hot tub, back yard can even be fully light up at night with nice flood lights. They supplied visitor books of the area, and was centrally located for all OBX fun(minutes from public beaches, and gorgeous golf courses). They were extremely helpful when we reached out with questions and resolved those questions very quickly(they cared). Definitely my favorite place I’ve stayed in the Outer Banks.
I’d like to clarify 3 star cleanliness review, it was late in season and I’m sure a deep clean would be near impossible during the season. All the important things(bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms) all were very clean. The pool and hot tub were immaculate. Stains on couches and rugs were just from past guests being careless and sitting on couch with wet bathing suits and cup rings ect. In other words not their fault.
