Shack at the Beach is a five-bedroom duplex located in the beautiful community of Buck Island. You can relax in the hot tub that is located on the mid-level covered deck after a fun day at the beach or the community pool. With a well-equipped kitchen, mealtime will be a snap! Spacious decks will give everyone a place to bask in the sun or seek some shade on the covered decks. The lower level den is a great place to gather for movie time or a game of Pacman.
Enjoy the Buck Island Community amenities with the Olympic-sized pool, tennis courts and a playground with a half basketball court. The beaches have a lifeguard (in season). This home is within walking distance to the Monterey and Tim Buck II shopping where you have grocery stores, unique shops, restaurants, and outdoor family-friendly activities.
The owner provides Cabana service from Memorial Day to Labor Day included in the rental. Includes 1 umbrella and 5 beach chairs set up at the beach.

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful home. We appreciated the bicycles, the chairs and awning at the Beach! Also the pool, BB & Pickleball courts! Our teens had a wonderful time! This community was perfect and the house was exactly how it showed in pictures. It was equipped with so much and the host provided umbrella and chairs which helped immensely and made our load easier to carry. We loved it so much we’ve booked Love R Shack next month!- Reviewed On: 7/2/2026

The home was beautiful. Staff did an amazing job have having it clean and ready for us early!!! The Community was wonderful and the amenities provided by the Homeowner were above and beyond any that we've ever had in the 25 years of traveling to OBX. We originally booked a partial stay and even added another night because we loved it so much! Village Realty provides exemplary customer service and their communication skills are unmatched.
