New to the Village Realty program for 2025! Heron Comes the Sun is an immaculate home in the Currituck Club that offers everything you need to get back outside and soak up the OBX sunshine. During your stay, everyone in your group will delight in the beautifully landscaped backyard with sparkling private pool, volleyball court, and a barefoot-friendly lawn that's perfect for yard games. Your furry companions will especially love the expansive outdoor space at this pet-friendly home. The pool can be heated certain times of the year, bringing those much needed endless summer vibes to your off-season getaways.
Inside, the open-concept great room has been tastefully furnished for maximum comfort. This bright and airy space boasts a soaring tray ceiling, gas fireplace (off-season only) and direct access to an east-facing sun deck that overlooks the pool and backyard. Get dinner started in the fully stocked kitchen that features a double oven for preparing a family feast. With a dining table for eight and bar seating for four more, there's plenty of room to sit down and enjoy meals together. After a day at the beach or lounging by the pool, wind down in the evenings with a refreshing beverage while watching the sunset from the spacious front porch.
Heron Comes the Sun provides over 3,000 square feet of indoor living space and six bedrooms to easily accommodate multiple or extended families. The split-level layout consists of three bedrooms upstairs (including two king ensuites) and three additional bedrooms (including the third king ensuite) on the lower floor. Downstairs, you'll also find a cozy den that can be used for some quiet time or a movie night. Use the full-sized fridge in the laundry room for storing extra groceries or the catch of the day.
During the summer months, you can park your car in the garage and leave it there your entire stay if you'd like since the seasonal trolley makes a stop less than 50ft. from the house. This complimentary shuttle service will take you to the beach and when you arrive, you'll be greeted by a valet who can assist you with carrying all of your gear (Memorial Day - Labor Day). Back at the resort, take advantage of a variety of world-class amenities available exclusively to Currituck Club guests. The community's main clubhouse features a fitness center, outdoor pool, tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and volleyball. Just past the clubhouse, a Harris Teeter is located at the entrance of the community so groceries and conveniences will always be just minutes away.

Our family of 9 had a really enjoyable stay the week of July 4th. It was easy to access the property with clear instructions to get into the main gate, as well as the house. The house was very spacious and everyone enjoyed their bedrooms. Overall it felt clean and welcoming, with a few small exceptions (we felt some sand in the beds, saw a few ants in the kitchen window sill, grill had almost no propane, and garage area was a little dirty), but overall nothing major that would keep us from coming back again! The directions and labels for the lights, remotes and tvs, etc were so helpful. The trolley stop is super convenient, steps from the driveway, and drop off for beach access takes 5 minutes. The community overall was a huge bonus for us- lots to do and super friendly! We loved having the pool after a long day at the beach. One addition we would’ve loved was beach chairs, an umbrella, any equipment that makes less for us to pack in the car, but just a suggestion! Great house overall!- Reviewed On: 7/3/2026

We’ve been staying at this beautiful home for our annual OBX vacation for several years now, and it has truly become our much-loved getaway. The house is spacious, comfortable, and set in a lovely, peaceful location. It’s just a short 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive to the beach. The gated community is private and welcoming, with plenty of nearby amenities. We love cooking in the kitchen, which has everything you need and plenty of counter space. The private pool is another feature we greatly enjoy, complete with floats and beach toys that make it easy for our family to relax and have fun without ever leaving the property. Even our senior dog feels at home here with the cozy dog bed and toys provided. We highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable beach getaway!- Reviewed On: 10/9/2025
