Your family will love having their very own private pool (with free solar heat!) right in the backyard for around-the-clock outdoor fun. A reverse floor plan takes full advantage of the ocean views, which can be enjoyed from all the common areas on the top level. Vaulted ceilings with original wood paneling and exposed beams add to the coastal charm of this classic beach cottage. A spacious living area provides plenty of comfortable seating, with an open-concept layout ideal for gathering. It leads out to a wrap-around oceanfront deck where you can soak up some Vitamin D while enjoying the view. Or make your way to the screened-in porch and relax in the shade with a cold beverage. Back inside, everyone can pitch in with meal prep using the well-equipped kitchen boasting gorgeous granite countertops and bar seating. The first of four bedrooms is also located on the top level and includes deck access and an adjacent hall bath that's been recently updated. Three more bedrooms are situated on the lower level, along with two more remodeled baths. Sandescape welcomes dogs, so your four-legged companions can join you on the pet-friendly beaches of Hatteras Island.

Located in Salvo where the beaches are wide and uncrowded, Sandescape is in a slower-paced, laid-back area while still being just a short drive away from shopping, dining and outdoor activities. Just 2.5 miles south you'll find the popular Salvo Day Use Area, where you can experience the other side of the island. Maintained by the National Park Service, this family-friendly soundside beach includes a picnic area and restroom facilities. It's the perfect place for launching kayaks, kiteboards and SUP's. For more adventure, take a short drive south to Cape Hatteras where you can climb the lighthouse, go driving on the beach, or hop on a ferry to Ocracoke.

Beautiful home that was perfect for our family's winter stay. We came for five nights after Christmas, over the New Year holiday. The house was bright and cozy and filled with light, perfect for the short days. Proximity to the beach was wonderful and we really enjoyed taking our dog up over the dunes to the nearly empty seaside. We cooked in the workable kitchen, stretched out in the living room with the amazing view, and slept in late in the very comfortable beds. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back.

Great location despite the horrible weather, house was clean and as expected. Sponsors very responsive with issues we found, only thing is all clutter and junk of stuff outside by the pool, assuming people just left all the floats, kites, toys etc- just thrown around, probably should just be thrown away bc it looks clutter and trash around. Otherwise it was a great experience! Great location

Excellent location, great house for 8 people. Beautiful beach and short walk to get to. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has basic accessories but bring your own spices and condiments, etc. The house would benefit from a gas grill and umbrella by the pool. We would easily rent this house again. Thank you for a very fun family vacation.
