The good- There was enough space for everyone. The hot tub was working. Water pressure was nice. House was clean when we got there. The bad' The jet tub did not work, there wasn't a DVD player for movie room, the radio/speakers wasn't hooked up in the main room TV. The bedroom tvs are very small. The entrance to house and decks are NOT accessible. The height difference between the interior and exterior floors made it difficult to get in and out and impossible on decks.- Posted: 12/28/2024
Thank you, Christopher, for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found the space accommodating and enjoyed the hot tub and water pressure. We apologize for the issues with the jet tub, lack of DVD player, and the radio/speakers not being hooked up. Additionally, we appreciate your comments regarding accessibility, as we strive to improve our properties continuously. We will address these concerns with the property owner to enhance future stays. Thank you for choosing Village Realty, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again.Village Realty staff
I was so disappointed in the home. It needs so much TLC. If you use the oven you have set temperature at 400 degrees, the stove burners where the same way. You had to set the burner on high for it to work. The hot tub didn't work as well as the ceiling fan in the game room. The decking and eaves of the home need major. The furniture and mattresses need to be replaced. The bed i had been repaired with an unpainted 2x4. It needs painting bad. The home has so much potential! If the major work was done it could become a Premier Rental Home. A lady from the real estate office came and said she could not fix anything. The home was not cleaned plus we had mice. You ask me to give you a an honest review. Like I said the home has so much potential!- Posted: 11/23/2024

The location and layout of the home is great. Everything else is in major need of improvements/ repair / TLC.- Posted: 8/17/2024
This was our third year staying at Capt Jack’s Landing. It is perfect for our family of 18 , with ages ranging from 2 to 93!- Posted: 8/3/2024
We enjoyed out time in the Outer Banks. The house was okay although it could use some work on the decking.- Posted: 7/13/2024
House was clean but needs work. Pool table needs recovering, floors need some refinishing, den furniture is very old and needs replacing. House layout is fine but needs some work to bring it back to acceptable standards.- Posted: 6/29/2024
The house fit our needs. The location was good, however the house was advertised with a theater room. We were disappointed that the theater room had no way to actually play either a TV or DVD in the room. It actually looked like the video capabilities had been removed and nothing put in its place. This made the room completely unusable for us during our stay. The other issue we had was that the house was advertised with pictures showing televisions in all of the bedrooms. There were in fact tv's in each bedroom, however only the master bedroom tv worked. This is also very deceiving as we had an older group of adults vacationing together and it would have been nice and expected that we would be able to retreat to our own bedroom and watch tv if desired which also was not available for us to do. The other issue we had with the television set up is that you could only stream tv and that did not give us the capability to see local tv channels and keep up on the weather. This was also disappointing as we had all older people that are not technically savvy. All in all we had a good week, but were disappointed on the television/media set up availble to the renters.- Posted: 4/27/2024
