CL588: Hide Away Heaven

Village Realty is the BEST! They respond quickly and are always courteous and want to make it right, if there are any issues. Our property was comfortable and the pool was outstanding! Because it's near the end of the season, a little more TLC with the cleaning was definitely needed. We liked this place, but will look for something closer to the beach next year. The shuttle is great, but nothing beats a short stroll to the ocean. Always happy with Village Realty and will continue using them in the future!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hide Away Heaven! We'd love to provide positive feedback for any future renters: the 2 king size rooms were a nice size and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. They both had ceiling fans as well which was nice. There were ample towels provided that were very plush. The hardwood floors were beautiful and looked very well taken care of. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, and the dining area is very large. The pool area was very nice and had the perfect amount of shade from the trees. We really enjoyed the path along the sound and were able to walk roughly 2 miles round trip. A few things of note that future renters may want to know: the oven, microwave, and refrigerator are very outdated. I think due to the location of the house being in kind of a woodsy area, there was a decent amount of spiders in the house - moreso in the basement, but we would find some on the second floor as well. If you're planning to use the basement bedroom, there is a musty smell but that's almost to be expected for a basement bedroom. Although not listed in the amenities, there is an arcade machine in the basement that doesn't work. In the 2 king bedrooms, there is not a door to the vanity part of the bathroom - There is however one on the small room that houses the toilet and the shower. So if you're needing privacy, you will need to go into that small room. The back of the house and the pool area are about 10 feet from the main sidewalk, so it wasn't uncommon to have a constant stream of people coming by. The pool fence blocks them from seeing you while in there, but you can still hear everything. As stated in another review, the grass is very long surrounding the house. But it's not really grass, moreso some sort of weed that is growing along with a lot of sand. So I'm not even sure how that gets cut - it wasn't bothersome, but you do have to walk along the sidewalk to the pool and you'll pass by it. All in all we had a great stay and would recommended this home to a friend!

We loved having the pool and tennis courts especially as the weather cooled, Enjoyed our stay with family from 3 other houses able to eat a wonderful turkey etc dinner in your spacious 3rd floor . beds were too high for some short people but Ace hardware had step stools… Some trouble signing into Wi-Fi initially but Village Realty helped a lot to solve .TV instructions might of helped…Overall loved the house and location and ability to rent it.

We really liked the house. It fit what our family needed. We really enjoyed the trolley system. We participated in the pub crawl that was super fun. My only complaint is the grass had not been mowed in several weeks. This took away from how nice the house was. The tall grass is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.
