Get away from it all and reconnect with friends and family here at Retreat at Turtle Pond, an adorable home tucked in a quiet area of Southern Shores with only one neighbor and located right across the street from Duck Woods Country Club. Each day can begin on a tasty note with a cup of coffee in hand as you look out to the pond from the furnished deck. When days heat up, launch the three provided kayaks into the pond and soak up some sweet vitamin D. There is a community marina for boats! If you are looking to indulge in a classic beach day on sugar-white sand, you better take advantage of having access to a private beach (passes provided). And, when it is time to relax under the colors of legendary sunsets, the gas grill and picnic tables will be waiting to host summer cookouts until the stars come out! There are community tennis courts available if you feel like practicing your swing.

Inside, everyone can spread out with ease in the single-story layout. The living area features vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, plush furnishings, and a mounted flatscreen TV with streaming capabilities, so kicking back for a ballgame with the whole gang will be a breeze. Step into the full kitchen when hunger strikes and whip up anything from a snack to a four-course meal on modern appliances. The adjacent dining area has plenty of room for everyone to gather for formal meals and game nights, yet there will be no better place to end the day than outside under starry skies. For indoor entertainment, a game room is located on the ground level equipped with a foosball table and TV.

again, this place was immaculate. beyond surpassed my expectations!
the game room in the basement was amazing!
the living room was beyond comfortable! Giant TV made watching sports great experience.
the dining room was cute! we ate our Easter dinner there and was more than enough room for our family of 5.
the kitchen was perfect! perfect size! more than enough amenities!
bedrooms were beyond comfortable, again my entire family had more than enough room to feel right at home.
the area is beautiful, short drive to literally everywhere in the OBx, less than a 30 min drive to any of the little towns.
the backyard I was in heaven, my kids lived on the little canal in the back, fishing every morning and kayaking during the afternoon.
the house was perfect, bigger than we needed but totally worth it!
village reality was tentative and responsive to our needs and responded promptly!

Plenty of kitchen appliances. Waffle maker, Airfryer, Grill and Griddle were definitely a huge plus. Wonderful layout of the home with privacy and openness to come together. Wish we could’ve enjoyed the deck more but we enjoyed the AC. Beach access was a huge plus. FoodLion & Walmart right around the corner. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again.

This property was an amazing stay for us. Plenty of room for a large family or extended family. Close enough to any stores and the beach, but away from the tourists hustle and bustle. Will definitely stay again.

The Retreat at Turtle Pond was a welcome break from the busy rentals we've stayed at before in the OBX. Tucked away in a secluded wooded area in Southern Shores we enjoyed the peace and quiet offered by this lovely home. It was directly next door to great golf and walking trails. We fully took advantage of the private beach access and reservable pickleball courts. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware and even tupperware for our leftovers from the many restaurants in close proximity. We loved how close it was to three grocery stores as well! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home close to OBX beaches. Check in went smoothly and home was clean and as advertised. Close to the grocery store and beach. It was nice to be at the beach but away from the sand. We will rent from y’all again. Thank you for a great vacation!
