We found the location in Nags Head on the sound side to be perfect. Great access to everything up and down the coast; quiet neighborhood - nice for an evening walk; good water views. Also was decorated nicely and a very comfortable space. Kitchen was well outfitted. Though would be nice if a few coffee filters were provided. We left some behind for the next group. Also would be nice to have beach chairs and towels provided. I checked ahead of time so we knew they were not provided (we were flying in from western US) so we stopped at Walmart and picked up a few cheap towels. There was one (rusty) chair we assume someone left behind that we also used that worked out for us. Overall, the house itself is a great space!

I work three jobs--approximately ninety hours a week. My adult kids and I decided that we needed a break so we came to Nags Head. My son has significant food allergies. So unlike most of the guests that stay in this house, I needed a full kitchen because we cannot go to restaurants and we cannot buy processed foods. He can't have anything with soy or corn in it. Once we went to the grocery store and got all the ingredients, I was able to make homemade bread and cookies. I was able to make all of our dinners, lunches and breakfasts using the kitchen supplies and cookware. I did have to organize the kitchen a bit to find all the measuring cups and bowls, but they were there. I didn't have to buy a cookie sheet or spoon. The house had everything I needed. The stove and oven worked well and we had lovely food. We enjoyed the quiet, dead end road and the view of the sound. We had a delightful time just being a family, playing games, watching movies and talking. It was much needed down time. I am so grateful that we went.

Large smart TV was a bonus, could stream all of our favorites (just make sure to logout of any you upload when you leave). Lastly, recommend visiting a local bar on your first night and conversing with the local bartenders. They know the best beaches, with the best waves, best places to eat, etc.

We always rent a house right on the beach and this being our first time at Nags Head, we were a bit hesitant to stay on the sound side. It’s a 2 minute drive across the street to get to the beach and lots of free public parking. The neighborhood was so quiet with few rental houses and it was great to take walks in the evening and the sound views at sunset were amazing. The house was decorated super cute, nice updated kitchen, and great location.

4 middle-aged ladies rented Gizmo’s for a lovely girls’ weekend. We loved the location and view. Sunsets were glorious off the balcony. We enjoyed having space to gather for meals and drinks, while maintaining our private areas in our own bedrooms. The keyless entry made things easy, no shuffling keys around. Parking our rental car under the house felt safe (especially after we found the light switch!) and made loading & unloading a breeze.

More beautiful than the pictures. Spacious (and I mean spacious), Clean, and very comfy. I love the fact that they provide us with shampoo and conditioner because I didn't pack any. Watching the sunset on the balcony was priceless. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast out on the balcony, while enjoying peaceful scene of the ocean. There's lots of games for the kids. The kitchen is equipped with everything. I brought my own travel carbon monoxide detector, because I didn't see any on the listing (but there's one in the dining room). The kids enjoyed the beach, which is walking distance, but we drove(bring a small pop-up tent or beach umbrella, because it's HOT!) Oh! And its close to Wal-Mart, Target, etc.. Bring a blow dryer! We will definitely be back!!

We had the best time staying at this adorable beach house! The house was set up so nicely and decorated with a great beachy vibe. The house was clean and made us feel comfortable! We really loved this property. It is very well stocked. We had one issue with a backed up tub, and it was handled so quickly. Just a suggestion, but a gas grill off the kitchen would be amazing to avoid the stairs and the charcoal. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again in a heartbeat.

I recently rented Gizmo's Getaway with some family members. It is a great location. I really enjoyed being so close to Jockey's Ridge and liked the view of the bay/sunsets. The home was beautiful and well supplied. It was also great to have (protective) parking for 3 cars under the house.
