We loved this house. Well equipped kitchen with good pots and pans. Beds were comfortable. The elevator for arriving and leaving with all our luggage and groceries was a blessing for mature adults. It was close to the beach access for walks.

We had the most incredible stay at this house!
From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need - the host lets you know ahead of time what you need to bring.
Every detail felt carefully considered — from the cozy, comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen and inviting living spaces.
The outdoor area was a dream — perfect for relaxing mornings with coffee and unforgettable evenings together. The location couldn’t be better: peaceful and private, yet close to everything we wanted to see and do.

Beautiful home that had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Bonus point was elevator for friend who required an ADA.
There is a lot of road noise if sitting outside but worth the location.

Wonderful time celebrating spring break at Sandy Duck! Everything was perfect, down to a sweet delivery of wine and munchies sent by the HOA in Sanderling. What a treat! Village Realty couldn’t have been more helpful—and welcoming! Can’t wait to return!!

Beautiful home, with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable bedding. The layout is perfect for a multigenerational family vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a very short walk to beach access. We have already reserved it for next year.

I’m the designated writer for the family (Jim Healy, husband of Ellen). Our family (my wife, Ellen; our daughters, Anne & Katherine and their respective husbands, Rob & Ben, and our four grandchildren, Owen, Will, Charlie and Zoe) have vacationed at Sandy Duck for the past four years. We have vacationed on the Outer Banks…always in Sanderling for over 30 years. As our family grew so did the size of the homes we rented and the location; initially on the Sound side and for the past 10 on the ocean side. Sandy Duck has been perfect for our family in the past although we had initially rented it for two weeks and needed to reduce it to one week when another family was quicker to book the weeks we needed…lucky them. This year we were able to go to two weeks which was delightful. The size of Sandy Duck, the location of bedrooms and baths works for our family. So do the amenities such as decks, tv locations, outdoor shower, etc. work best for us. The only drawback (which we addressed) is that fir a two - week rental there was no cleaning service or replenishing linens/towels include in the fee. Consequently we contacted Village Realty and arranged for the separate service for an additional cost. The team that came were great and did a fabulous job. I just thought it should be included so we didn’t need to arrange for it separately
