nice place and good location. that said, the townhouse could use a good and thorough cleaning -- e.g., the kitchen counter was sticky and there were tiny ants on the counter. Once I cleaned it, the ants disappeared.

Of the three times we've been to The Villas this is our second time at Jockey's Rest.We'll keep coming back whenever it is available during our regular anniversary trip to the OBX. It literally feels like coming home every time we're there.Jockey's Ridge State Park is just outside the back patio, right down to the sound!

We loved our stay at the Villas. Unit was clean and very well kept. Would recommend to anyone. The location was very convenient and property had many great amenities. We loved the pool, the fishing pier and the beach we walked to out our back door in Jockey Ridge State Park. Hope to come back soon. Thank You to owner and to Village Realty!

Very clean ... except upstairs bathroom white rug was not so white in bedroom. It looked like it could use washed. The pool was awesome. I would stay again in the future.

There are a select few places that I'd choose to live in other than my own home. This establishment is on that list. The scenery from the patio and balcony is absolutely beautiful. The entire villa itself is brimming with charm, I was loathe to check out at the end. We had an absolutely superb trip spending time at Jockey's Ridge State Park and walking along the sound side. The area is also just mere minutes from any public beach access to experience the ocean. My wife and I have been goin to OBX for our honeymoon and then anniversaries since 2016 and have always stayed at a hotel until this year. After this experience at the Villas we would never go back to hotels unless we had no other choice. Come 2024 we'll definitely be booking another stay at the Villas, even at the same place, J2, if we can get it. There were some cons, but they were not enough to even put a dent in the max star rating review we're giving our experience. There was a fair amount of pet fur left over on some of the accent pillows. We encountered several cockroaches. Just be neat and do not leave food out. It's clear that the establishment is taking action and has put out traps or perimeter spray, because we found dead ones and those that were alive were quite sluggish. When I went to use the dryer I checked the lint trap out of habit. It was about an inch and a half thick with lint, hair, and pet hair. Regardless 10/10 will stay again.

Overall our stay was nice. The location was pleasant by the sand dunes and on the bay, but it was a drive to get to the beaches.
