SH180: Seagrove

Our group of three families (5 adults, 1 teen, and 5 kids) had a wonderful 7‑day stay, and our overall experience was very positive. The home is in a fantastic location with easy beach access, whether walking or driving, and we loved being able to hear the waves from any deck or even while relaxing by the pool at night.The pool, hot tub, and spacious outdoor areas were major highlights. There was plenty of room for everyone to lounge, play games, and enjoy the hammock chairs. Inside, the house offered comfortable beds, large rooms, and enough sleeping space for all, including a bunk room that fit four kids perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and had a large fridge and freezer, and the multiple decks with ample seating were great for morning coffee or evening relaxation. We also appreciated the cupboard full of board games and the quiet, secluded feel of the neighborhood while still being close to stores.There were a few minor issues that didn’t impact our overall enjoyment but are worth noting for future guests. The pedestal-style grill wasn’t practical for cooking for a large group, so we purchased a Weber charcoal grill and left it for the house. We also noticed sand inside the home and around the pool area, including on some floors and beds, and the baby pool beside the main pool needed to be emptied and cleaned on arrival.Even with these small items, our week was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seagrove in Southern Shores. The house was as described. The home had everything that we needed. We were very pleased with the fresh linens and towels, general cleanliness of home, and all the little extras the house had to offer (board games, kitchen supplies, several coffee makers, movies, books, etc.). We were easily able to walk to the ocean, and were thankful the house was on the ocean side of Highway 12 so that we didn't have to cross over the busy road every time we went. We also utilized the fun pool (tubes and floats were available) and lovely hot tub. We loved the convenience of the outdoor shower and toilet. The location of Southern Shores was centralized to a lot of fun attractions, activities, and delicious restaurants in the Outer Banks. We had a slight issue and Village was able to take care of it quickly. We would happily stay here again!

The house was incredibly clean and big enough for all 6 of the people in our group. We had such an amazing week! The pool was a great addition for the days we didn’t feel like trekking out to the beach or when we wanted to do a late night swim. Very quiet part of the OBX and even more so private with the surrounding trees on all sides of the house. It felt like our own little oasis. We even saw a mommy and two baby deer in the backyard! We will definitely be making this our annual beach trip home! Only thing that would have made it better would have been better water pressure in the outdoor shower, we wound up using the hose mostly,, to get the sand off because it worked better. And the dryer took a few cycles to dully dry our clothes but overall no biggie!

The home was lovely- very spacious! It was great having patio access for each bedroom to enjoy. There’s several amenities to enjoy. And the proximity to the beach is awesome!! Highly enjoyed our stay.

Only complaint is the same one as last year. The grill included with the property is sub par. A dirty rusty charcoal grill shouldn't count as providing a grill. Otherwise, an amazing week

Awesome location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. Easy to make the drive to Corolla or Nags head for various attractions. House was super clean and updated. Stayed with family, 8 adults, 1 child, everyone had plenty of space. Pool and hot tub great too
