Description

Sometimes you just need to disconnect, unwind and Drift Away. This five bedroom oceanside home in Corolla is the perfect setting to do just that, providing everything you'll need for a relaxing and memorable Outer Banks vacation.

Drift Away makes the most of outdoor living, with a private pool, two levels of decking and a fenced-in side yard. The pool area includes a unique screened-in gazebo and convenient access to a full bathroom on the ground level. Use the elevator to make unpacking luggage and groceries hassle-free. The top level living, dining and kitchen areas feature vaulted ceilings, beach-friendly LVT flooring throughout and an open-concept layout that encourages quality time spent together. A separate office space with built-in desk is ideal for guests who need to keep up with work or school remotely. The large dining table seats 10, so everyone can enjoy meals together. Three master suites ensure that everyone has the space and privacy they need.

Apart of the Section F neighborhood of Ocean Sands, Drift Away is just a short walk to the beach access located at the end of the street. It's central location in Corolla means you'll be just minutes from grocery stores, shopping, dining and the Currituck Club golf course.

Loved our stay! The walk to the beach was very short (there are stairs to get over dunes) and there was a large area that wasn’t very busy. Elevator was a huge plus for luggage or people with limited mobility. A full bathroom that was accessible from the outside was great for the pool or coming back from the beach. You could walk to get ice cream, food or even to a store. The home was in a great area.

Our family just completed a 7 night stay (6 adults, 3 toddlers under 2) at Drift Away. House was spotless upon arrival and the elevator was a godsend. We used every inch of this house - it is perfectly located in a private neighborhood, very short walk to the beach (which was not crowded at all). House is well-appointed with a spacious open layout. Screen porch was where we ate meals most nights, however the dining table inside easily accommodates large families. And there is a second refrigerator/freezer on the 2nd floor, which you may need if you have a large group. Pool area gets great sun without the wind. Management company is great to work with. Just one "con" - beds are not the most comfortable so if you are driving I would recommend bringing your own linens and/or mattress topper. Other than that, you'll have everything you need. Highly recommend!

My family had a wonderful vacation at this house. Very comfortable & lovely house. Great amenities. Very easy, short walk to the beach front with easy access to the beach. The neighborhood is a quiet, lovely community, yet close to shops of all kinds. And I loved that we had life guards nearby.

Drift Away was the perfect beach house in a quiet cul-de-sac. A block away from the beach and it’s going to a private beach as it’s the last street to beach access for about a mile. Clean, very spacious house with an elevator for taking up groceries/luggage. Spacious top floor for family/friends gathering and wonderful swimming pool with a screened in porch. We spent time playing cards when the rain rolled in both screened porches. The poolside bathroom and shower were a bonus. This was a great place for a family vacation and we will be back again. Thanks to the owners, Ed & Nancy for sharing their beautiful beach house.

One of the better layouts of beach homes we've rented over the years -- very feng shui. The screened porch and the long row of adirondacks on the top deck earned high use.
