Remember Bark When is a charming, dog-friendly beach house in Southern Shores nestled among mature oak trees for privacy and seclusion. After a day at the beach, come home and relax in the welcoming great room, where you can curl up on the comfortable sofa in front of the cozy electric fireplace. Vaulted ceilings and an open-concept layout make the space feel bright and airy, while the wood paneling adds warmth and coastal character. LVP flooring runs throughout the common areas, ideal for sandy feet and paws. The living area opens up onto a large sun deck that spans the width of the house and overlooks a fenced-in backyard - the perfect outdoor play area for dogs and kids. The primary suite is located by itself on the top floor and includes a private bath and balcony. All TV's throughout the home are Smart TV's with Roku for streaming. Downstairs, a rec room with pool table, foosball table and arcade games will provide hours of indoor entertainment. In the evenings, take a relaxing soak in the hot tub or gather around the backyard fire pit while planning the next day's adventures.

Remember Bark When is part of the Southern Shores Civic Association, which provides exclusive parking privileges at the nearby Hillcrest Drive beach access. The neighborhood soundside park is the perfect place for kids and dogs to get some outdoor playtime. Launch your kayaks and SUP's and explore the marsh and abundant wildlife in the Currituck Sound. Other park amenities include a tennis court, playground and boat ramp.

Guests will also have access to the Outer Banks YMCA during their stay. This 28,000 sq ft. facility offers activities for youth, teens, and adults of all ages. "Loved the amenities! Game room was great as was hot tub. Fenced yard and decks were nice. Yard has thorn type plants so needed to check paws. Great location that is close to beach and several nice shopping areas."

"GREAT house if you have a smaller family with grandparents or even adult siblings on the trip. Pet friendly, clean, and very open. Back yard was great for the pup. Hot tub was great for everyone. Access to beach was very close by (short trip in car or on bike). Basement/Game Room was awesome for the kids and family. Lots of space and LOTS of games! House, though small, had a GREAT layout that gives everyone their space when needed... or allows everyone to gather. We had a minor hiccup with the AC, but I think EVERYONE in Carolina had that issue that week. Rental company had me a little worried at first that it may not can taken care of in a timely manner, BUT I was very wrong... they were working as hard as they could to remedy the situation. Maintenance showed late in the evening (10:30 pm) when we found out we had the problem, and they had a solid short term solution. Rental followed up with the AC vendor the next day, and by lunch time, things were back up and running with the main unit. What could have been a bummer near the end of the trip was handled very well given the circumstances. If you are looking for a little bit smaller place with plenty of space, and you like being in a neighborhood rather than on the main roadways, this is a solid house (although there is some cut-through 12 traffic on Saturday, but that is no fault to anyone other than GPS units and traffic volume). Would definitely rent again."
