"My family has been renting from Village Realty for over ten years. We were in our rental house a few summers ago when our friends who were also renting from Village called to let us know that they were moving from one rental house to another. Their beach house rental had been struck by lightening (no injuries, no damage) which completely knocked out electrical service to their house. Village relocated them to an even nicer home quickly and they were very happy with the quick and excellent service. We like Village Realty so much, we ended up buying a beach home in S. Nags Head and we are lucky enough to have Village Realty managing it for us. Village lets us know the high standards that renters expect when they arrive - renters want an awesome house with super amenities. We know our renters will come to our beach house and Village cleaning crew will ensure it is perfectly clean, that the pool and Hot tub have been cleaned, and the Village maintenance will ensure that everything in the house including all the light bulbs are working. We know that our renters will get great service if they call Village Realty before, during or after their stay. We know that because we were renters and we got that great service. And we get surveys from our renters where they rate the service. There are lots of good rental companies on the OBX that you can rent beach houses from. But Village Realty is consistently great. And great is what you want for your vacation memories."

"Have been renting through Village Realty for 5 years now and have nothing but positive things to say. Houses have always been exactly what we had expected. On our most recent trip after a pipe on the AC unit burst the company quickly responded and arranged for us to be relocated to a new house and make sure we were taken care of. In what could have ruined the vacation it was a minor event and we were all amazed at how well they handled the situation."

"GREAT SERVICE!! We shopped around for houses in the Nags Head OBX area and found a great home that fit our needs perfectly. We had young children going as well so the home and amenities were very important. The house was great, clean upon entering, and we even got to enter a little early! The Village Realty staff was friendly and responsive the entire process through. I will say the way they went above and beyond, and showed they are very thorough as well as caring, is when we left the home AND FORGOT MY 3 YEAR OLD'S BLANKIE behind! Any parent knows this is a horrible mistake. I prayed and prayed the Village Realty crew would recover it, save it, and would get in touch with me about it. I emailed them the night I got back, and they emailed me back the very next day that they had found it and mailed it back to me. My 3 year old was so happy. They were already good in my eyes but something like that makes them GREAT. Thanks Village Realty, we will definitely be back but we will try to remember to bring everything back with us next time :)"

"We rented Mann Cottage, a classic Nags Head oceanfront cottage the week of Hurricane Irene. It was perfect for us and just as advertised online. Village Realty's service was friendly and professional throughout the reservation process and when we checked in, but the way they handled the evacuation notifications, which started on Weds night of our week stay, was especially good. They posted information on their facebook page and on Thurs afternoon a friend of the cottage owner visited to ask about our plans as they wanted to prepare the cottage for the storm. While I think that they could have (according to our rental agreement), neither the owner's rep or Village Realty pressured us to leave. Joe Lamb Realty gave the vacationers next door a few hours notice to evacuate on Thursday. But, we were able to wait until Friday morning before leaving, which was more convenient for our long trip home. The weather was actually beautiful in the days prior to the hurricane so the additional time was really nice. We even enjoyed a great meal at a restaurant recommended by the owner's rep and then went to see windsurfers on the bayside. What might've been a difficult end to our long-planned vacation, what with the confusion of the hurricane forecasts and the evacuation news, was as laid back as the rest of our stay. Thanks to Village Realty and a smart property owner."
