"This was our first time to Nags Head North Carolina and we contracted with Village Realty to rent a home for a week long summer vacation. This company is fantastic, very helpful, friendly staff. Everyone that we came into contact with a Village Realty was just wonderful to deal with. We rented a nice home overlooking Roanoke Sound and we were only minutes from the beach. The home that we rented could have been a little cleaner and when we contacted Village Realty about the situation they were willing to do what ever it took to make it right. Personally, the people that rented the home before us could have cleaned it up a little before they left as we did when we left so I don't feel that that reflects at all on the professionalism of Village Realty. We like the staff and the service so much that we already booked another home for the summer of 2019 with Village Realty. I would have no problem recommending Village Realty. "This rental company knows how to run a property. Our rental was clean, available at 2pm on checkin day and had keyless entry. Even the beds were made for us! When we had a small maintenance issue, they fixed it within hours! We never got this kind of service from one of their competitors!"

"****UPDATE**** Bob Oakes, owner of Village Realty reached out to us and has gone above and beyond to make this situation right for us. He was so wonderful to deal with, that we're giving Village Realty a second chance and will be returning to the Outer Banks next summer! We rented a home in Currituck Club with our best friends and their children through Village Realty. This is our first time in the Outer Banks; and the private pool and spa made this rental a win for us. The bonus we didn't bargain for was the sewage treatment plant sitting right beside our rental home. It was absolutely disgusting and after contacting the rental office; we were told that the sewage smell is a well known issue at Currituck Club and we just "got it on a bad week". Coincidentally, Village Realty fails to disclose that a poop plant is right next door to their rental home at 507 Meadow Lane...and in fact, all rental homes in Magnolia Bay sometimes get the poop smell. After much back and forth, we were offered a $100 refund of our $3,500 vacation for the "inconvenient smell." Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. To be exact, my husband described it as "vacationing in the middle of some old man's fart." Trust me, go somewhere else. Your money will be better spent - even if you have to pay more."

"I have been working with Village Realty for over 15 years planning my Thanksgiving week with friends and family. This year was epic in that I rented 3 houses. The staff was patient and helpful with all the logistics of this process. Everything went smoothly with no no problems. Just on a special note on how accommodating they are. I rented a house last year that did not have a crock-pot/slow cooker, all the other houses I ever rented had one and I had planned several meals for my larger group with the slow cooker in mind. When I called the office to inquire, they explained in was not a required item but would look to see if they had one. They sent over a brand new crock-pot with in hour. I was so impressed and grateful."

"We have used Village Realty for Beach Rentals the past 2 trips to the Outer Banks (Corolla). Both experiences have been great... the second one, this year, not starting out exactly perfectly though. The home we rented this year had issues, and actually just about caught fire (!!!). Village Realty stepped right in (along w/ incredible First-Responders from the Corolla Fire Dept., Sheriff's Dept., and local EMS), and turned what could have been a horrendous experience into a great one. Village Realty immediately moved us into another Rental (which is fantastic, by the way, OSJ01). All we dealt with regarding the issues we had, made a lasting, very positive, impression. I would HIGHLY recommend Village Realty to anyone looking for a Beach Rental in the Outer Banks area. We will definitely be using them again next year!"

"The house was really nice, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. The seating area in the living room was a little small for the amount of people the house holds. One suggestion would be to put felt pads under the dining room chairs. When moved they make a loud screeching noise on the tile floor that can be heard all over the house. This seems like it would be an easy fix"
