This well-equipped home is thoughtfully furnished and decorated with attention to detail, providing guests with that calming, "you're at the beach" feeling you've been looking for. Conveniently located at Milepost 17, Summer Rental provides the tranquility of the all-residential South Nags Head area while still being just a short drive away from grocery stores, shopping and dining. Best of all, the beach is less than 100 feet away using the public access across the street.

The spacious great room boasts vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors throughout, with an open-concept layout encouraging quality time spent together. When you're not eating out, a dining table for 12 and bar seating at the kitchen for six more allow everyone to enjoy meals together. A sun deck is located directly off the great room for effortless indoor/outdoor living, offering a fantastic view of the ocean. The loft space is set up as an office with complimentary high speed internet, which can be used for remote work or school. All TV's throughout the home provide both streaming capabilities and local cable channels.

Ideal for multiple or extended families, Summer Rental includes eight bedrooms, two of which provide ensuite bathrooms. The ground level sitting room and rec room serve as additional living areas, ensuring plenty of common space for hanging out (or spreading out!). Feeling competitive? Gather around the digital gaming table, or challenge friends and family to a game of pool, cornhole or horseshoes. Guests will love having their own private pool, hot tub and cornhole boards in the backyard for around-the-clock fun and relaxation. A wet bar with mini-fridge plus a full-size refrigerator in the rec room is perfect for convenient poolside drinks, snacks and cookouts. Two picnic tables will comfortably accommodate large outdoor gatherings.

Fun with the Family

Choosing the Summer Rental for our OBX vacation was a win! We had three families with teens and tweens, and the layout and number of bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal for our group. The kitchen is stocked with so many thoughtful items; it was like being at home. For example, there are crock pots, blenders, pots for steaming seafood, numerous dishes, glasses, utensils, knives, coffee makers, and a waffle maker. The upper level is spacious and offers ample seating for eating meals, playing games, and socializing. When we were at the house, we enjoyed using the pool, hot tub, pool table, and yard games. Importantly, it is an easy walk across the street to beach access. We also like that the Summer Rental sits back from the two neighboring houses and that next to and behind it are trees and vegetation, which makes the setting feel more private. Staying at a comfortable and convenient property helped us have a happy and memorable family vacation.

We got married on the beach with our close family on Thursday of our rental week. The house was a perfect space to host both sides of our family, and was kid-friendly with the pool, pool table and game table. The kitchen and dining area was a great space to host everyone at once, and we even had a catered shrimp boil and ate on the large dining room table. The provided sheets and towels was a nice touch. Just a few small notes - we couldn't find the mat for the pack n play initially, then noticed it was in the back yard. Also, one of the can lights in the living room was flickering. The toaster is also barely functional. A garbage disposal also would have been a nice addition. Otherwise, the space was wonderful!

We all loved our stay! It was big enough for our 6 different families. The house had everything we needed for the most part. The only thing we could have used was dish towels. The distance to the beach (right across the street) was phenomenal. South Nags Head is quiet yet still tons to do! The steps for each level were a lot but kept us in shape all week while we ate and drank through our vacay. The beds were comfortable. We loved jet skiing, ropes course, mini-golf, go karts, going to the movies on a rainy day, and shopping! The house is right nesr Jeannettes pier, which was cool. The bedrooms on the mid level could hear the people upstairs in the living room, but we had a ton of kids and people so we expected that to some degree. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Overall, it was a great stay! It was clean, plenty of pots and pans and kitchen utensils, the pool and hot tub were great...a wonderful OBX vacay was had by all!!!

Our rental was very nearly perfect for our large group. There was ample gathering areas, well stocked kitchen and it was a very short distance to beach access. The coffee maker was on the smaller side and there was a spare, but it didn’t work. The pool is small, but not everyone swims at the same time so it worked out very well. It was nice to have the pool table and TVs in every room for the down time after long days at the beach or swimming. I think everyone had a great time. Anything we needed or found lacking a simple phone call to the Village Realty office got what we needed in a very timely manner and the staff on the phone were pleasant and very helpful. Village Realty rentals are the only way to go!

Great house & location

This was a fantastic property close to Jennette's Pier and the house was in great condition. Clean and roomy - very comfortable. We only rented for a partial week, but will definitely rent again next trip!
