We highly recommend 4x4 and high clearance vehicles for parking at this rental home, as the property does not have a paved driveway. The condition of the parking area can change quickly, causing sand accumulation and potential vehicle damage (either sand-blasting or vehicles becoming stuck). Village Realty is not responsible for any towing costs or damage to a vehicle, and cannot guarantee the condition of the parking area.

With the beach right at your fingertips, this family-friendly home is exactly what you need for that much-needed beach-cation! Take in unobstructed beach and ocean views from your private deck while having lunch. If the beach is too crowded or is not your cup of tea, you can always visit the community outdoor pool for a refreshing midday splash. Then, rinse off the sand and chlorine in the outdoor shower and come back home to relax after a fun-filled day.

Inside, this beachfront escapade boasts a cozy setting with wood accents throughout. The open floor plan combines the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living into one big space. When mealtime comes around, the kitchen will have your back. Equipped with great appliances, including a dishwasher, full-size fridge, stove, oven, and drip coffee maker, it will make cooking a breeze. The breakfast bar is a great addition to the dining table. Then, unwind in the living room and watch something entertaining on the TV or start planning your next adventures!

Things to Know
Due to the proximity to beach sand dunes, a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for parking at this property. The outside shower is not enclosed. The community pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Availability is subject to change at the discretion of the HOA.

A simple, clean, private place right on the edge of the beach. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the waves gently landing under the deck at high tide.
The stairs were easily negotiated by our elder dog.
There were a few minor elements of the house showing their age from being so close to the ocean but overall we were pleased with our visit.
Hard to go wrong with south Nags head in November, no crowds but same amazing views.

The views are extraordinary. The house is dated and accurately shown in the photos. We had a couple of issues with the house throughout the stay and the management company was so responsive and immediately fixed any issue we brought to their attention that same day.

This experience is bar-none. You wake up on the beach. You got to bed to the sound of the waves. Coffee overlooking the ocean every morning. Watching the kids play from the deck / patio. Outstanding. The furniture is not luxury, but the location is sublime. It is not for everyone, but 10/10 would book again.

This was our second stay at The Sea Salt Cottage. We had a small dog with us and the deck is perfect with the gate at the top of the deck stairs from the beach. The ocean view is fantastic - we watched fishermen, saw dolphins and loved all the birds we got to see. - and high tide comes right up to the deck! The sunrises are gorgeous. We aren't able to get the cottage for the week we normally go to OBX in 2026 and we are so disappointed!! Highly recommend Sea Salt Cottage at Geri's Place!

We had an amazing stay at this beachfront cottage in Nags Head! The location was perfect, right on the beach, and being able to bring our dogs along made it even better. The cottage was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. We loved being able to walk out the door and onto the sand within seconds. Overall, a fantastic experience – we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful location. You can't get any closer to the beach. Cottage is clean and pleasant to stay in. We've been twice and will most likely go again at the end of the summer. If you're looking for a quiet beach retreat with perfect views and beach access, this is the place. It's pet friendly and our two small dogs loved it!

I’m not a beach person so having a beachfront spot is key to regularly escaping the beach. No hauling stuff back and forth, great for independent kids who you can still keep an eye on when they want to go to the beach. Clean and perfect temp community pool. Place is great with the right mindset, certainly not luxurious, but worked for our family of 4 plus pup. SO MANY TOWELS (better quality and cleanliness than I expected) made this work for us.

Overall, we had an excellent stay. The view can’t be beat, old fashioned cottage on Nags Head beach. We did have a few recommendations, however. We are a family of 6 and there were only 10 large plates and 10 forks. There were not even 6 glasses, the kids had to drink out of coffee mugs. That meant the dishwasher needed to be run after every meal. Please add more plates, bowls, silverware and glasses. There were NO hot pads to put hot pots on when serving. We had to put our Thanksgiving hot dishes on top of beach towels on the island for serving. Plastic hanging hooks for jackets/towels in the master bathroom and bedroom were broken off the walls. There was not enough seating for all 6 of us in the living room (even though the house sleeps 8).

House is right on the water. Porch is very nice to sit out on. Has a dog gate so the dogs could not get off the porch which is nice. Nicely stocked with all of the amenities that you would need to use, pots and pans, knives, etc. Keurig and coffee pot. TV with more stations than you would actually need. Master bedroom has a king bed very firm.

The OCEAN is your yard!! The location is AMAZING!!! The deck with the tall chairs overlooking the ocean is what sold me on this house. THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW!! The inside is clean …. but…. it definitely could use some updates …. cheap things not even expensive things …..that would make it look so much better!!! Overall it is all about the LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! That view is spectacular!!
