"First off let me say how great this vacation was and how amazing Village Realty was to work with, especially the maintenance crew. My review might be a little long but hopefully it`s informative. When reading reviews for home I always wish they would provide more information about the home and area so here you go.Location: What a great location. It`s right off 12 and within walking distance (1/2 mile) to Food Lion, TimBuck II shopping center, Dunkin Donuts, Wings & tons of other stores. The walk to the beach isn`t too bad but it is a good walk when you have to carry things. There is a beach cart with 2 wheels, kind of like a wheel barrow, at the house but we brought our own. The stairs to get to the beach is steep so keep that in mind if you have eldery folks with you. The Dunes are high so the steps had to be built up over the years from what we were told. The lifeguard stand is literally right at the bottom of the stairs which is awesome. We did go during the week of June 19th and apparently this is a very popular week for high school students to come down here for Beach Week so keep that in mind of you are looking for family friends and less crowded beaches.House: the house is perfect. It has everything you need and then some. The kitchen is kind of narrow, you really can`t have more than 1 person cooking without bumping into each other but the counter space is plenty. Loved the bar stools around the counters and the kitchen table. The screened in porch was perect and really nice to be able to sit outside and eat. The 3rd bedroom upstairs that says there is a twin bed in the description actually has a bunk bed which was a nice surprise. The bottom bunk is full size and top twin. The front porch is covered and was amazing to sit outside during the 1 day there was a storm. The pool area is great, lots of chairs and the backyard area is separate from the pool but still fenced in is perfect of you have a portable hammock. The big tree in the yard provides plenty of shade which is great if you have a dog so they don`t burn their paws in the sand. The umbrella for the table on the deck was missing the bottom half of the pole so there was no shade to be able to eat outside, hopefully it will be replaced for your visit. The gas grill is an added bonus and we used it a lot during our stay. The only negative thing, and this has nothing to do with the house or the rental company was that their is a new house being built next door so there was construction going on all day. It was a little annoying while trying to lounge by the pool or trying to take a nap mid-day.Thank you to the owner`s for your beautiful home and to Village Realty for being a great rental company to deal with. This was our first time using you guys and it definitely will not be our last."
