Reconnect with nature and embrace your inner angler at New Beginnings, a unique waterfront home in Old Nags Head Cove that's truly a fisherman's paradise. Ideal for boat owners and groups that intend to be out on the water, New Beginnings is situated right on a fully bulkheaded canal. Tie up your watercraft right behind the house using the private dock equipped with electricity and water (3 hose connection options). Along with a fish cleaning station, grill and a 7 cubic ft. ice chest on the ground level, you'll have everything you need to catch and prepare your own seafood dinners!

When you arrive, use the community boat ramp (for a nominal fee) to put your vessel or jet skis in the water and dock them right behind the house. From there, easily navigate to the Roanoke Sound for exceptional saltwater fishing, water sports, or a sunset cruise with views that span across multiple OBX islands. Oregon Inlet is only 13 miles from the house.

Recent updates include LVP flooring on the main level, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and a newly rebuilt deck that overlooks the canal and includes an outdoor dining set for al fresco meals. Vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light make the open-concept great room feel bright and airy. Upstairs, the generously sized loft is practically a second living room, perfect for a kid's hangout space or a cozy den for reading. The primary bedroom includes a king bed and access to a private waterfront deck where you can lounge in the sun.

In addition to the canals and boat-friendly amenities, guests also have the option of purchasing daily or weekly passes to the Old Nags Head Cove soundfront pool. Other community perks include a basketball court, volleyball court and picnic area. Walk or bike down the multi-use path that runs from Old Nags Head Cove to the Outer Banks Mall where you can browse an array of shopping and dining options, including two grocery stores. Also nearby are two public beach accesses at Enterprise Street and another at Loggerhead Street, both of which provide parking.

Bringing a boat or other watercraft? Let us know at the time of booking and we'll have a $20 gift certificate to Food Lion or TW's Bait & Tackle (your choice!) ready for you to pick up from our office when you arrive. Guests can also redeem this offer by renting a boat or booking a charter during their stay through Outer Banks Outdoor Ventures (www.obxventures.net). Limited to one gift certificate per booking.

"We loved the house!! Very peaceful and quiet. Great location! Loved having the canal there. The beds were a little uncomfortable. And I’d suggest TVs in the bedrooms. But it’s a great house and I’d definitely recommend it and stay there again! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!"

"We absolutely loved this rental. It was bright and cheerful, and we loved sitting outside and getting the sun in the morning and listening to the birds. It was right on a canal that leads out to the sound so it’s very easy for paddle boarding and kayaking. There’s also a little access to the sound for wonderful sunset viewing each night. The couches were cozy and comfortable. There’s plenty of dining room and a nice big spacious kitchen. It’s close to a nice beach access and great restaurants, there’s also very nice outlet mall nearby. It’s a great location close to Jockey’s Ridge and also easy drive down to the Hatteras ferry for Ocracoke access. Village Realty was wonderful to work with as far as communication and access to the rental. It was very easy to check out. We loved the Dunes and Grits Grill for breakfast, Surfing Spoon, and Blue Moon Café as well as Mama Quan’s and the Mongolian grill. Of course, our first stop was to Sam & Omie’s for steamed shrimp, chowder & coconut cake."
