Anchor's Away is a lovely home situated in the highly sought-after and family-friendly community of Nags Head Acres. Enjoy the peace and seclusion of this residential soundside neighborhood while still being within walking or biking distance to shopping, dining and best of all - the beach! After a day of fun in the sun, come home and gather in the open-concept great room with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. A sliding door connects the space to a charming screened porch that opens up onto an expansive sun deck. This outdoor oasis includes a hot tub for soaking away the day and a grill for cookouts. The entire backyard is enclosed with privacy fencing and features a barefoot-friendly lawn perfect for kids, pets and yard games.

When you're not dining out or cooking out, prepare meals in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. A peninsula with bar seating overlooks the living area so the chef in your group can still socialize while cooking. Sit everyone down together in the formal dining room with a table for eight and a full bar where happy hour can start anytime! The primary suite is generously sized and features soaring ceilings and an ensuite bath. Three additional bedrooms will comfortably accommodate family and friends. Upstairs, a massive rec room provides plenty of bonus space and can serve as an additional living area. Between the pool table, foosball table and ping pong table, there are a variety of options for friendly competition and indoor entertainment.

Anchor's Away is centrally located at Milepost 10.5 in Nags Head. Use the Adams Lane pedestrian crosswalk to safely make your way to the oceanside of town. The Admirals Street public access is just 600 yards from the house, but also provides free parking for guests who prefer to drive. You'll also find The Shoppes at Milepost 10.5, which include a grocery store, coffee shop, and take-out dining.

Can’t stay an entire week? Anchor's Away is available for short stays with flexible arrival/departure options. For guests who like to plan ahead, partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance. Choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out.

The home was well appointed and well laid out to host friends and family. The kitchen was well stocked with utinsils needed for preparing a variety of home cooked recipes and large dishes. The game room came in handy especially considering how much time we spent indoors. The home was clean and well maintained with one exception, the weather was extremely cold this week, and the windows in the master bedroom were not well sealed. We placed towels around the seals and kept the shutters and curtains closed to provide extra insulation. The room was still considerably colder than the rest of the house. Excluding this inconvenience we enjoyed the house and our stay very much!

If you are looking for a relaxing stay near the beach with plenty of things to do nearby, this is your place. The backyard is great for lawn games and you are minutes away from the beach and local restaurants.

We had an incredible spring break vacation in this lovely home. We enjoyed our morning walks to the beach everyday that included great shopping and coffee just across the street.
This location was easy to find and our hosts were incredible with instructions. The photos accurately displayed the home and we were very comfortable all week.

We had a relaxing family Easter weekend with our family. The house was well appointed and had lots of indoor activities as well as outdoor activities. Our dogs loved the yard and the hot tub was great as well. We would definitely recommend staying here for a few days or a week!

Immaculate!

The cleanest rental we have ever stayed in! It was incredibly clean both inside and out! It was a great house with well equipped kitchen and large dining room. We loved the game room, hot tub, and convenient location.

This was a great beach house for our thanksgiving vacation. It was really clean and spacious. The hot tub was such a great addition.
Note that the kitchen was pretty stocked but there are no dish towels or oven mitts.

Good beach access. Game room was great for the kids. Teenager appreciated the pull-up bar in the 3rd floor room. Younger kids loved the "giant bottom bunk bed." We all were glad for the grill to cook yummy local seafood.

The stay was great! We were in OBX for the first time and the home was in a wonderful location for what we were looking for. Very convenient for walking to the beach and grocery store runs/restaurants. The sand dunes state park was only a few miles away ( Highly recommend to anyone traveling to OBX to catch the sunset there)! The house was spacious, and beautiful. The only issue we had with the home was the dirty floors, and the dryer wasn’t drying clothes efficiently. Our host was extremely responsive the whole trip which we are grateful for.
