"The house was very nice; plenty of space and clean. We loved the giant sectional on the top floor. There were no beach chairs, wagons, etc as stated in previous reviews but that wasn’t a big deal to us as we came prepared. What was a big deal was that the property has no designated beach access, which is not stated in the description. There are two adjacent streets with private beach accesses (about 3/4 mile walk), however signs clearly state they are not to be used by anyone not on that street. When we messaged the owners about what access to use, we were told that we’d have to drive to Corolla or Southern Shores and park at a public access. We would have liked to know this before choosing this as a rental as it made getting to the beach much less convenient."

"Wonderful, relaxing off-season stay! The place was spotless and we loved being so close to be able to walk into the town while at the same time it was so quiet and peaceful. The pool was an added plus, as was the billiard table and video games. Kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans and other cooking implements and Village was very responsive to our texts.
A few caveats:
1) If you plan to cook, you will need to bring EVERYTHING you need for your recipes, including spices. You will also need to BYO filters for the coffee maker.
2) This is not the place to rent if you want easy beach access -it's a HIKE! Because we went off season, we didn't mind, but in high season, it could be a challenge.
3) Towels and some extremely limited soap products are provided but we had to go out and buy our own pump soap, as the tiny bars broke immediately, as well as dish and laundry detergent. And the bath towels are very small and thin - I wish I'd packed my own from home."
