You can take a short drive to unique shops, local restaurants, and all other activities that make the Outer Banks the best place to be. Visit Jockey's Ridge State Park for a day of hang gliding or simply flying a kite, take a stroll through The Wright Memorial Monument to take in the history of flight or simply make the trip to Roanoke Island to visit The Elizabethian Gardens, The Lost Colony outdoor drama or even to visit the otters at the North Carolina Aquarium.
