OSF06: Kara's Sandcastle

This is and amazing beach house we stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and spend time with family. Its so cozy and warm and you feel like your at home. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for decades, and this was probably the most comfortable home we've ever stayed at. The attention to detail in every area was amazing. We had six people and three dogs, and the overall feel was together, but not cramped. The home was well lit with natural light, all of the rooms were spacious, the kitchen was well designed and well stocked, and it was an easy walk to the beach.Where the house truly shines is the outdoor area. The back deck is large with plenty of comfortable seating. It overlooks a huge undeveloped lot, so the nature views make for gorgeous sunsets. Also, there is a long ramp off of this deck for dogs to walk safely down to a securely fenced area under the house to use the bathroom without needing to walk around the neighborhood. There was even a rack to hang dog leashes right by the front door. Without question, this was the most dog (and people) friendly house we've ever stayed at in OBX.

Great location, great house, & perfect for the family pet. Will certainly stay here again when traveling to the OBX.

We've stayed at Kara's Sandcastle several times and always have a great experience. The house is nice, clean and cozy and very close to the beach and shops. We always have a great vacation when we stay here. We plan to make reservations for Kara's Sandcastle next year as well.
