When it's time to hit the beach, you'll be just a two-minute drive to the nearest public access on Hayman Boulevard, which provides plenty of free parking. Guests at The Sound Castle can also choose to walk or bike to the beach using the Avalon Drive access, less than half a mile from the house. While you're there, visit the Avalon Fishing Pier where you can grab lunch at the Snack Shack or drinks at the Stonefish Beach Bar. On the west side of the neighborhood, take a short walk to the community sound access for launching kayaks and SUP's. In the evenings, stroll down the picturesque Bay Drive while admiring the breathtaking waterfront sunsets.

Centrally located at Milepost 6.5 in Kill Devil Hills, The Sound Castle is conveniently close to everything you'll need during your stay. Department stores, grocery stores, spas, a movie theater and coffee shop are within a mile radius. Nearby dining options include Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar, Chili Peppers and the Jolly Roger.
