JR33: Dragonfly

This is a nice house with very convenient access to the beach. We didnt have any major issues with the house or its features. Some things to note: 1)the bunk beds are metal and very squeaky. 2) The knives in the kitchen are very dull. 3) there is no Tupperware in the kitchen. This wouldve been helpful for storing leftovers. 4) it would be nice to have some plastic ware for kids. The tableware is nice but it was not kid-appropriate. 5) it might be helpful to have some carpet squares on the steps. They get very slippery especially after kids come in after the pool dripping wet. The beds, with the exception of the bunk beds, were comfortable. Overall, we had a nice time and had no major complaints with the house.

We had an excellent week! The house is as shown with the exception of the minibar fridge/wine cooler in the basement. It was clean when we arrived and the pool/hot tub were also clean. There were plenty of plates, cups, bowls, utensils and cooking items available. We used both the coffee machine and Kurig during the week. There was a gate provided in the house that we used on the outside stairs/deck for the dog. Most of the reviews with negative comments/issues about the house have been fixed. There were a few areas of wood on the deck/pool that were loose but nothing really unsafe. I did use the App for check in and check out but nothing else. We could not figure out the surround sound in the great room upstairs but it was not an issue. All of the TVs with the exception of the double bunkbed room had Roku so we were able to watch whatever we wanted. The double bunkbed room has a TV in it but nothing is hooked up to it. I found the price to be very fair for the week we were there and I would recommend to anyone looking.

The house is nicely laid out, with lots of conveniences strategically placed, like hooks for keys by the front door, outdoor showers in front and back, plenty of tables and chairs on the decks and in pool area. The house was immaculate, which was a huge plus, so kudos to the cleaning team. Plenty of cups, glasses, plates and utensils. It was nice having stairs on both the inside and outside. We enjoyed the pool, and the pool table in the basement was a nice feature. Quick walk across the street to beach access. If I ever go back to Nags Head, I would definitely stay here again. The Village Realty app was convenient, and checking in and out was effortless.A few negatives to mention that the owner might want to address: (1) the basement bedroom could use an overhead fan; it was very stuffy in the room. (2) The pool filter made a lot of noise. While not noticeable during the day, at night it was very annoying to the occupants of the basement bedroom. (3) The online pictures showed a small fridge, microwave, and wine cooler? next to the sink in the basement. They were not there during our stay. (4) Some of the fence slats need repairing. (5) The Mr. Coffee machine looked like it was from the 70s; luckily we brought our own coffee makers and didn't need to use theirs. None of these would be deal breakers, just things that might bring the rating from a 4 to a 5.

Dune Nothin had lots of positives - one house from beach access, close to Food Lion, coffee shops and ice cream. The lower level bedroom provided perfect noise insulation for our dog. The house had a good layout with just about anything you could need. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but both seemed inviting. Negatives - wish I had brought a pet gate or two to block Parker from heading down stairs (inside & out). The biggest negative was the TV service. Cable was spotty when we got there and went out completely on Tuesday afternoon. Village Realty staff checked it out but needed to schedule a service call. Didn't happen while we were there, so no TV for most of the week. You often get what you pay for but in this case, Dune Nothin was still a bargain.

We had a nice time there, but there are issues. Bottom step for pool is broken, plus the plastic ring by the bottom step kept falling out.
The grill was so built up with grease we had to clean it before using it. Also the rules for linens where different in contract, and also the magnet on refrigerator door. Plus your app didnt help. The owner really needs bigger TVs in the bedroom, and we shouldnt have to use two or three remotes to watch tv

Great house - close to the beach. Well suited for a family with 3 kids and the in-laws. Village Realty took care of a broken dryer quickly and easily. Appreciate the "app" check in and check out. Super easy!

We really enjoyed our stay during this holiday season. We generally come when it's warm but this was just as beautiful. The proximity of our home to the beach was perfect coupled with the use of the hot tub was a great addition.

Karista, Shawn Bryant, and Family! This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. We are having a blast and love the Dune Nothin'! We will be returning!

Loving our time at Dune Nothing!! Even the Easter Bunny paid a visit! Lovely home, well equiped, nicely appointed, great location,all the amenities we expected and more. We loved the Village Realty app as well ! Very convenient, easy to use with great recommendations! We WILL be back next year and we WILL be using Village Realty!
