JR32: Footloose & Fab

The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes. Bring your own beach towels. The hot tub was enjoyable and the multiple balconies made it easy to catch the sun. Sleeping arrangements and bathrooms gave us (8 with 2 more on the weekend) plenty of privacy. The property is across the road from the beach but has an ocean view. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great vacation. It was a little too cold to use the pool. But the hot tub worked great! Good selection of games. The rental company contacted me a week before our arrival to let me know the elevator would not be available for use. Then they worked with me to try to find another house that would work for us. Unfortunately, the only other available one with a working elevator did not suit our requirements, so we were issued a refund for the elevator. But the staff were wonderful in trying to help! There were TONS of storage containers for leftovers, baking sheets, large stock pots, frying pans, silverware, plates, bowls, cups/glasses, and cooking utensils. However, another regular size pot or two would have been helpful. I did relay a few items to maintenance that should be checked out. They weren't necessary to address right away, but staff was very friendly and willing to address them right away! We actually discussed that this is the first rental house that we would be happy to rent again!!

Great hot tub. King mattresses were excellent. Loved that all the TVs we used were Roku. Kitchen very well stocked. Very clean. Great location, other then beach walk was farther then we would have liked. Could have used a grab bar/handicap accessories in the king master upstairs. Would have been nice to have some chairs near the hot tub and/or pool area instead of only chaise lounges.Living room area was tight, if you have more than 4 adults watching TV. It would be really nice to have instructions on the outdoor speakers - could not figure out how to get them to work, thankfully brought our own stuff. Pool was very small compared to what we’re used to (28x14 seems to be the norm where we usually stay), but it works for 2-4 people. Needs at least a solar cover, though. Elevator was small but speedy with no issues.

Cannot say enough good things to capture how much we enjoyed this property. Plenty of space, comfy furnishings(to include mattresses), and wonderful customer service.

We enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach isn't bad. The rental is located just a few blocks from the grocery store and some restaurants/shops. The kitchen is well equipped. There was plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. There are a bunch of games in the powder room closet as well as DVDs for rainy days. We also enjoyed having access to the beach wagon and toys in the pool closet. The pack and play and highchair were also nice to have. The queen bed in the middle bedroom is starting to sag in the middle making it somewhat uncomfortable. The fuel regulator on the grill seems to be going bad. Sometimes the grill worked well and other times it didn't heat past 250. The realty company was very responsive and quickly handled any concerns we had. We didn't care for the mulch pathway to the pool, because the outdoor shower is out front, so the kids would end up tracking mulch to the pool area walking through it after using the shower. Overall, great stay.

We couldnt be happier with our stay at Footloose and Fab. The house was clean and well kept, even better than the pictures. We arrived much earlier than the 4:00 check in and the staff at Village Realty were very accommodating by checking us in early as there was no other rental that day. The location is great and I would highly recommend this house. Thanks for a beautiful stay.

This house is so clean! First time staying in a house with an elevator and it worked like a well oiled machine. It made unloading our luggage and groceries very convenient. The kicthen had everything we needed. We stayed in one of the rooms with a queen size bed with a stand up shower. The bed was terrible and very hard. My husband and I woke up every day exhausted most day due to not sleeping well. Having a porch off of our room was a bonus. We had a few mishaps while we were there, but Village Reality was quick to make it right. We could see the ocean from our house and the walk to the beach was right across the street. Overall, this was a great choice.

We love this house. Very clean and very well equipped. Great view of the ocean. We couldnt find the pack and play and sent a message to let Village Realty know and they had a new one out to us pronto. By then we had found the other one so they came back to get the new one. We wouldnt hesitate to rent this house again!

We were well pleased with Footloose and Fab. House very clean and equipped well to enjoy cooking with family. Close to the beach can see the ocean from the 3rd floor. Beach access close one you can walk to and one you can drive to. Only flaw is that the pool could use a way to heat with the cool condition that this area may have even a solar cover would help. Elevator was a blessing for my parents not to climb steps. Would definitely stay again. Jones family has a wonderful week of visiting and site seeing. A must for breakfast is Grits Grill and Black Pelican for dinner choose. Thanks Village Realty for making our stay pleasant and worry free.

Overall we had a wonderful time! Upon arrival we noticed the door was a little tricky. Had to shake it to unlock it, but no big deal. The house was very clean. However, it was lacking some basics like kitchen towels and hand soap in the bathrooms. Also the garbage disposal seems to try to work but doesnt do much. Not a big deal to us as we didnt really need to use it, but I guess it could be to some people. There are beautiful views of the beach and easy beach access. The pool and hot tub were great as well!

Trash can was never put out so we dealt with a full trash can all week long. Since it is picked up on Fridays there should be a penalty on the previous house guest if they do not put it out. Then you should pay someone to come empty it. Outdoors speakers did not work and should be removed if they are not going to be fixed. Some of the mattresses seemed well past their shelf life very wore down. House was clean and everything worked minis the outdoor speakers, no crab crackers first house I have ever rented in OBX that didn't have them available.

lovely house and pool. Wifi did not work well at all. I would say a good house if you live in state. For out of state folks, find a place that provides at least the basics in terms of beach towels and household basics.

When we arrived the house did not appear to have been cleaned at all other than the beds being made. There were trash cans full of trash, sand, hair, and sticky stuff all over one of the dressers, and one of the bathroom floors was filthy and covered in a brown substance.
I made an immediate call to the after hours service and cleaners were sent out to rectify the situation. It looked much better after they left.
There are boards on the deck that are completely loose which is not safe at all for small children. The pool has 3 out of 5 chairs that are broken and not use able. The TV in the master bathroom and the rec room appears to not have cable connected to it.
We have stayed in this home for years because it was always so clean and well maintained. I was very disappointed to see the current cleanliness state when we arrived as well as the maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
I hope that this home is restored to it's once clean and well maintained state.
