CSC4A: OBX Driftwood (formally OBX Whale)

The place was clean upon arrival. Very easy beach access and private. We were there during a heat wave and the a/c had a hard time keeping up which is expected somewhat, but at night it was 81 degrees in the condo. We had closed packs of crackers on the counter and noticed ants. We contacted village realty and a guy came and sprayed a few days later. The reason for 4 stars is because the elevator was down beside us the entire week. This is a complex issue, not a condo one. I also think the living room furniture needs updated. It was uncomfortable and small. We would probably stay again.

The overall condo and facility were nice for our family to gather and enjoy a week together from all across the country. When we contacted Village Realty they were very quick to respond for any repairs needed. The parking is great. Concerns with the facility were: AC system has no returns from any rooms, so the system struggled to "breathe" and was a constant battle to keep at a comfortable temperature. Elevator closest to our condo "Temporarily" out of service the entire week. Boards on stairs were loose and could have been a hazard. The water dispenser on fridge did not work, but Village Realty offered to come fix it right away. The smoke detectors started chirping (low battery?) the last night keeping us all awake. The path to get to the beach fro the condo, through the parking lot, through a locked gate, passed the pool, passed the gazebo and over the dunes was quite difficult. Ramps all the way to the gazebo, but then had to carry carts etc. down and up multiple steps. Overall a great week. Fix these "annoyances" and the week would have been outstanding!
