CC091: Two Easy

The house floor plan is great, but I would HIGHLY recommend for the owner to update the main floor, specifically the furniture (old rotted leather furniture set). I'm 51, for a moment I thought that I was at my grandmother's house.From the master bedroom on the porch, the trim siding needs nailed, one of the panels on the screened in porch was blowing into the wind. There was party confetti under the couch and coffee table. The garage door sensor closest to the access door is loose, so I had to manually close it to keep it from going up/down. This is the kicker, the thermostat on the first level is controlled by the Property Manager. Why? Some days were in the low 50's and four of the bedrooms are on that level, so we could NOT turn on the heat. Because of this one of our children had to sleep on the dated couch upstairs, thank goodness he only visited for two days. Unexceptable.In closure, the best part of this house was the hot tube outside and of course the location/community. Hopefully some of these owners of older outdated properties realize that you have to invest in an investment property. I have two in DC. Thank goodness I didn't rent this unit in the summer paying what I see they are charging.

Overall we had a good stay. Plenty of space and the community amenities were great. There was a wooden bridge just down from the home that was great for viewing the sound during sunset. The TVs have been upgraded since the listing photos were taken so that was a nice surprise. The TV in the living room was very small but newer. We had an issue with a door that wouldn’t lock but it was quickly fixed after a call to Village Realty. The pool was very sandy upon arrival. I was told by village realty that the owner did not have an agreement with the pool company for cleanings—only chemical checks. This wasn’t a huge issue for us as we were at the beach and some sand is to be expected but others may have an issue with this. The owners may want to consider purchasing new mattresses as well as new living room furniture as these items were clearly past their life. My back was killing me by the end of our stay due to the mattress.

House was nice but could use some upgraded TVs and kitchen appliances. Otherwise simple and comfortably fit our large family. Neighborhood is nice and the trees gives it some privacy from the other homes. I dont think bedroom 2 really has a queen size bed because it was a tight squeeze compared to our queen at home.

The house was beautiful and the community was very nice. Unfortunately the pool was dirty when we arrived and was not cleaned at all during our stay. Despite that, we had a very nice stay and enjoyed the area! We will definitely be back to the Outer Banks!

House was better than the pictures described it to be. House was clean, neighborhood was pristine and we can't wait for a trip back. We had an issue with the pool on Labor Day and maintenance was there within the hour. We spent our days in the pool, afternoon in the hot tub and nights at the beach. The house had a charcoal grill and pool toys. I would add a HDTV to the living room and it would be absolutely perfect. We hope to come back next summer. Would rent from village realty in a heartbeat.
