Events by Month

While relaxing on the pristine sandy beaches is the main draw of the Outer Banks, dozens of events take place each year to keep visitors and locals entertained. In the spring you’ll find events such as the Taste of the Beach, Kelly’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, and the Outer Banks Bike Week.

Summer brings more recurring weekly events and activities that are perfect for the whole family for time off the beach such as weekly carnivals and giant kite displays. The fall is when most of the larger annual Outer Banks events take place like the Outer Banks Seafood Festival, Bluegrass Festival, the Outer Banks Marathon, and several surfing competitions.

Popular annual Outer Banks events are listed below. For a more up-to-date and comprehensive list, check out our OBX Events tab on our Facebook page!
