As winter thaws each year, we look forward to seeing what changes pop up in Corolla for springtime. The Ocean Club Centre is located about one mile south of the Harris Teeter, across the street from the Southern Currituck Public Beach Access and is the location of the Village Realty Corolla Rental, Housekeeping and Maintenance offices in addition to the Currituck Visitors Welcome Center, ABC store, Metropolis Martini and Tapas Bar, and Local Color Painting Parties and Fine Art. This spring there are several exciting new additions coming to the Ocean Club Centre!
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund, which is the non-profit organization that works to protect and preserve the herd of Colonial Spanish Mustangs, has moved from the Historic Corolla Village to the Ocean Club Centre. The new location will be the base of operation of their educational tours and museum, events and gift shop. They hope to continue the popular program of bringing a gentled horse recused from the wild to Corolla to help educate about wild horse history and preservation.
Cosmos Pizza, famous for their pizza in Corolla Light Town Center, will be opening a second location at the Ocean Club Centre. The new location will offer the same great menu items like pizza (including a gluten free options) delicious subs and salads, a spacious dining room and full bar.
Northern Outer Banks Brewing Company, owned and operated by Corolla local Michael Cherry, is Corolla’s only craft beer brewery. The brewery will have 8 kegs on tap and will be open to public for tastings, special events and will sell their craft brews. Northern Outer Banks Brewing Company plans to partner with Metropolis Martini and Tapas Bar and Cosmos Pizza to provide an outdoor entertaining area with a laid back west coast vibe for visitors to enjoy. At the time of this publishing, their official website hasn’t launched but you can read reviews of their beer here.
