Outer Banks Skeeter Beater

Outer Banks Skeeter Beater

We are always happy to help new businesses here at the Village and this venture sounds like it could really do well. For those of you who have been here in the summer you may have noticed that the mosquitos, sometimes, can be very annoying. This was especially true after the last hurricane when there was a lot of standing water. Outer Banks Skeeter Beater was started by Brian Mervine, a local, out of Manns Harbor. The mission statement says "Our goal is to provide an all natural green product that is none greasy and dries on the skin, that is safe for humans, animals and the environment. We want to provide an all natural product that is affordable and works" Sounds good to me. I have a sample here and the stuff actually smells good. It does not contain Deet and is manufactured with 100% natural ingredients that, as their website states..."Protects against Mosquitoes All Flies Gnats Noseeums If you want more information or to place an order you can email Brian at brian@outerbanksskeeterbeater.com. The creators of Skeeter Beater are Captain Ron Weintraub and Becky Sherrod. You can contact them through e-mail or by phone. captron@outerbanksskeeterbeater.com or becky@outerbanksskeeterbeater.com Phone number is (252) 473- 9610 The product is already on shelves at some local businesses here on the OBX including Cahoon's Variety Store 7213 S Virginia Dare Trail Nags Head, NC 27959 252-441-5358 Cavalier Surf Shop 4324 S Virginia Dare Trail Nags Head, NC 27959 252-441-7349 Whalebone Tackle Manteo Causeway at Whalebone Junction 252-441-7413 Island Pharmacy 210 S US Highway 64 Manteo, NC 27954 (252) 473-5801 Kellog Building Materials 917 Burnside Road Manteo, NC 27954 (252) 473-2167 Coastal Wildlife Refuge Society info@coastalwildliferefuge.com 252-473-1131 I highly recommend giving it a try if you are headed to a performance of the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama on Roanoke Island.
