Did you know pet-friendly vacation rentals and homes with a private heated pool are popular amenity requests this time of year? That’s because our beautiful beaches make for the perfect pet-friendly vacation destination. Sunrise strolls along the Atlantic with your furry best friend are a great way to start your day! We welcome all four-legged friends to the Outer Banks, and while our beaches are pet-friendly, leash laws and doggy beach time can vary per town and time of year. Dogs are welcomed year-round on Cape Hatteras National Seashore and our Nags Head beaches on a leash no longer than 6-10 feet, depending on the beach. Meanwhile, our Duck beaches allow our four-legged friends to run freely, year-round, under their owner’s watchful eye. We recommend reviewing the town you are vacationing in to learn their Pet-Friendly Tips and Regulations.
