Island Farm’s 11th Annual Pumpkin Patch – Manteo, North Carolina
Celebrate the arrival of fall at Island Farm! Island Farm will host its 11th Annual Pumpkin Patch event on the first four Saturdays in October. Select the perfect pumpkin; there will be plenty to choose from. They were all locally grown in Chowan County by a descendant of the farm. Enjoy historical games, doll crafting, candle making, giveaways, and fun fall activities! Night of 1587 Pumpkins at The Elizabethan Gardens – Manteo, North Carolina
Head to the Elizabethan Gardens to be a part of this new event! They will attempt to light 1,587 jack-o-lanterns in honor of the English colonists who came to Roanoke Island in 1587. There will also be trick-or-treating, contests, and of course, pumpkins! Everyone is encouraged to come in costume. Jack-o-lanterns are provided by event attendees, so if you visit, please bring a few carved pumpkins! 6th Annual Dare to Scare 5k & Fun Run – Manteo, North Carolina
You don’t want to miss this fun, annual event! The fun takes place on October 22nd and begins at the Virginia S. Tillet Community Center in Manteo. The event benefits the annual Virginia S. Tillet Community Center Toy Drive. The Toy Drive benefits more than 400 local youth throughout Dare County. Participants are encouraged to dress in their Halloween best to win a prize.
