You dream all year about this vacation!  Don't let a little rain spoil it; there are plenty of things to do when the skies turn gray, and the clouds open up. These indoor, family-friendly, and kid-approved activities will help restore your vacation plans and get you and the kiddos back to enjoying your OBX vacation.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is unlike any other location. Our picturesque beaches, breathtaking sunrises, unforgettable sunsets, and unmatched natural beauty provide a backdrop to a summer vacation second to none.

One of the best things about colder weather on the coast is the availability of fresh, yummy oysters. The Outer Banks oyster season lasts from mid-October through early April. For generations, oysters have been harvested, farmed and enjoyed on the Outer Banks.

We know many of you are missing the Outer Banks. To help bring the Outer Banks to you, we have created a new blog series that will feature a local restaurant and a fun recipe from the restaurant that you can try at home!
