One of the best things about colder weather on the coast is the availability of fresh, yummy oysters. The Outer Banks oyster season lasts from mid-October through early April. For generations, oysters have been harvested, farmed and enjoyed on the Outer Banks.
We know many of you are missing the Outer Banks. To help bring the Outer Banks to you, we have created a new blog series that will feature a local restaurant and a fun recipe from the restaurant that you can try at home!
This time of year is when some local restaurants close up for the season...usually, that happens right after Thanksgiving week. However many of our dining places stay open later and some all year long.
