Rest-A-Shore is the perfect place to have a great vacation at this beautiful, oceanside home located in the Villages of Ocean Hill. Distance to the beach is only 2/10 of a mile. After your fun day at the beach, come home and relax in the hot tub or float in your own private pool (heated spring and fall). Indoor fun is located on the lower level with the rec room with a pool table and wet bar with a full-size refrigerator. Four master bedrooms and two kids' rooms, all with Smart TVs make it perfect for everyone to have their own space and privacy. The top-level great room offers the space for everyone to watch favorite movies on the Smart TV, prepare delicious meals and just hang out. The top-level sun decks provide glimpses of the ocean during the day and are a great spot to view evening sunsets. The covered decks will be a great place to read your favorite book. The Captain’s watch offers a secluded spot to put a puzzle together or sip your morning coffee. Two zoned AC/heat allows for everyone to be comfortable.

Lots to love about this place. Clean, great layout, nicely decorated, lots of dishes and cooking items, close to beach (5-10 minutes depending on speed), nice neighborhood, lots of books and puzzles (it rained a lot our week). We would rent again but a few things to note that may help future renters. There was a beach buggy, but no other beach items. If you want chairs etc, bring your own. The kitchen was stocked for cooking but there were no basic pantry items besides salt and pepper. So bring oil, sugar, coffee filters, etc if you’ll need them. The description was unclear about the community amenities so I contacted Village Realty. They clarified the gym is an extra fee but didn’t know how much. I had to call directly to get that info. Also we didn’t pay for early access because we didn’t think we’d need it but got there much earlier than expected. We contacted them to see if we could get access once it was cleaned. But their policy is a 4pm check-in for all properties even if ready.

Rest-a-Shore was everything we hoped it would be! The house was the perfect size and the kids loved the pool! The walk to the beach was not bad at all and we made the walk a couple times a day. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

The house was exactly as advertised. We had three families totalling 13 people staying, and it was perfect for us to all be together but have our own space. We all enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and pool table. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and cookware needed to cook meals for all of us. We would absolutely rent this house again.

Rest-A-Shore was the perfect beach home for our large family! It was an easy 5 minute walk from the beach and the pool and grill was wonderful to have. The outside and inside stairs made the house feel large and everyone had their own porch, which was lovely. Would highly recommend!

The best part about this house is its proximity to scenery. It's walking distance to the lighthouse, the end of the Route 12 and the Currituck Banks Reserve trail. It's not a long walk from the ocean to the sound. The house had all the cooking tools and amenities we needed for the whole family, and the walking distance to the beach wasn't bad at all.

My family and I were lucky enough to stay in Rest-a-shore for several days at the end of September. The home was in pristine condition and felt brand new. The layout was perfect, furnishings like new, and tons of space for large gatherings. Its only 5 minutes to walk to the beach and in an attractive neighborhood. Loved the the included linen service too!
