HISA23: Wanderlust Shores

Wanderlust Shores is a tastefully appointed, dog-friendly retreat situated on the oceanside of Salvo, just a short distance to the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. Admire the breathtaking sunsets from two levels of expansive, west-facing decks. They overlook the backyard with fire pit where friends and family can gather under the stars and to make lifelong memories and plan the next day's adventures. When it's time to hit the beach, use the Farrow Drive path for convenient access, just a four-minute walk away.

Back at the house, the top level consists of an open-concept great room with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and stunning views of the Pamlico Sound. The chef in your group will appreciate the updated kitchen boasting granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and an island with bar seating. The first ensuite is conveniently located just off the living area and features a queen bed, built-in workspace, and private bath. The second queen ensuite is located on the mid-level, along with two more bedrooms that share a spacious Jack-and-Jill bath with double vanity.

Located in Salvo where the beaches are wide and uncrowded, Wanderlust Shores is in a slower-paced, laid-back area while still being just a short drive away from shopping, dining and outdoor activities. A mile south you'll find the popular Salvo Day Use Area, where you can experience the other side of the island. Maintained by the National Park Service, this family-friendly soundside beach includes a picnic area and restroom facilities. It's the perfect place for launching kayaks, kiteboards and SUP's. For more adventure, take a short drive south to Cape Hatteras where you can climb the lighthouse, go driving on the beach, or hop on a ferry to Ocracoke.
