This oceanfront home in Duck is situated right on the beach with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Enjoy the salty ocean breezes from the expansive sun deck on the east side of the home, then head upstairs to the west-facing screened porch for witnessing phenomenal sunsets. A private walkway takes you from the oceanfront deck across the dunes for effortless access to the beach. Spend the day swimming, surfing, fishing or shelling - the possibilities for around-the-clock oceanfront fun are endless.
Back at the house, the thoughtfully designed open-concept layout in the great room allows everyone to admire the unobstructed ocean view. Unique features include soaring vaulted ceilings, transom windows, and a two-sided wood burning fireplace. When you're not dining out at one of Duck's fabulous restaurants, prepare meals at the house using the well-equipped kitchen. It's situated right off the great room with a breakfast bar overlooking the living area, so you can still mingle and enjoy the spectacular view while cooking.
Two of the three bedrooms on the mid-level feature deck access, perfect for falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The fourth bedroom is a primary suite located by itself on the top level for plenty of privacy. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the magnificent views from this spacious retreat, where you can lay in bed while watching the sunrise over the ocean. It includes an ensuite bath with oversized jetted tub, separate shower and dual vanities. Also on the top floor you'll find a loft space with pull-out sofa, which can serve as an extension of the primary suite or used as an alternative living/sleeping area.
Situated in the Carolina Dunes community of Duck, Chirality's central location means you'll be just minutes from downtown Duck to the south, and a short drive to the nearby town of Corolla to the north. Take advantage of the multi-use path that runs from northern Duck all the way to the heart of town. There, you'll find a variety of shopping, dining and activities - all just a 10-minute bike ride from the house. Along the way, you'll pass by several popular restaurants including the Village Table & Tavern and Sunset Grille & Raw Bar. The Town of Duck amphitheater hosts yoga and fitness classes, outdoor concerts and theater, children's activities and annual events. There's also a public park complete with a soundside boardwalk that takes you on a delightful stroll along the water to a variety of boutiques and restaurants.

We loved this house: all was on one level (e.g no stairs between living/dining/kitchen & bedrooms/bathrooms), the loft was like it's own private apartment, the view was truly expansive & phenomenal (we had a clear view of the Milky Way one night!), the private walkway was helpful & much appreciated, the quality & quantity of all the kitchen ware was impressive, as was the quality & quantity of the wooden deck furniture! We aren't used to "soft water" (harder to rinse off soap after showering) and would encourage the owners to perhaps invest in some stronger/better shower heads.- Reviewed On: 8/31/2025

Location, location, location. The house could use some updating, but location was perfect right on the beach with its own access. If your goal is to spend time on the beach with friends/family then this may be a great bargain. If it's to sit in the house watching TV or watching the beach from a high balcony then you might want to look elsewhere.- Reviewed On: 8/25/2025

We absolutely loved the location, right on the beach with its own beach access. Every morning we saw gorgeous sunrises and dolphins swimming close to shore.
We can confirm the hosts hold firm on the 7 night minimum stay. We contacted the hosts in advance to see if they would be open to a six night stay, however there was zero flexibility.
Despite the 7day min stay the house is minimally stocked with essentials, so would recommend guests bring extra essentials eg: hand soap and spare rolls of toilet tissue.- Reviewed On: 4/19/2025
