JR12: Carolina Dream

This was our second time renting JR12. It is a great house...the only thing I would ask for are some additional smaller saucepan type pots in the kitchen.

We vacation once or twice yearly to the outer banks. This house was perfect for our large family/friends vacation. It was perfect waking up to drink our coffee and watch the waves. The kitchen was great for feeding a big group of people.

House was beautiful ,clean and ready early for our arrival. A few minor problems were handled quickly and efficiently. Short distance to beach which made carrying equipment easy. Amenities were as described in website. Easy distance to restaurants and shopping. Would rent this beach house again.

This was by far the best place we have stayed yet in the 15+ years weve been coming to Nags Head. We were impressed with how well the owners have kept up the house. We are a large group, and the accommodations were perfect. The house was available and very clean when we arrived. We loved the music at the pool, kiddie pool, 2 washers& dryers, 2 dishwashers etc! We have it booked already for next year

Ocean front, lovely view (sometimes see dolphins swimming north in the mornings) and with swimming pool (complete with rock waterfall, and also a kiddy pool). Also has a hot tub on middle-floor deck. Will sleep about 18 people, although a couple of kids might need to use a futon or loft. Kitchen is spacious/easy to use for food prep and buffet service, and has a round table near west window for kids' meals and games. Main complication: the TV in living room is difficult to figure out. Also: instructions about when to put out trash are a bit fuzzy. However, we've stayed in this house for several years now, and everybody likes it!

The house was well appointed, some of the furniture needs replacing especially the mattress in the 3rd floor bedroom. Has a major defect on the right side. Air filters need to be replaced. Having the pool cleaned every two days would be good as it gets cloudy. Trash pick up was confusing as it stated on information that Friday was am was pick up day. Wednesday evening a company came by rolled one can out to curb returned on Thursday morning to bring can back up. This left us with 2 cans half full and a recycle can that was full. When we left all 3 trash cans were full as well as recycle. Incoming renters have no cans available to use. Instructions need to be updated. Overall the house was accommodating for our family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carolina Dream. House was very clean, kitchen well stocked. The pool and hot tub were amazing, especially because we had unseasonably cold weather and a lot of rain. Highly recommend Village Realty !

We really enjoyed our visit and we like having the elevator and handicap accessible bathroom. In fact, we’ve already made a reservation for this October as the home is so comfortable. It was wonderful to have the pool open. The keypad didn’t work when we arrived, however, maintenance came within the hour and replaced it. The office and maintenance staff were there when we needed them. The location of the house is perfect. Other comments: - It would be nice if there were more towel racks/hooks in the bathrooms. — Towel hooks would be a nice addition in the outdoor shower. - In the master bedroom on the third floor, the jacuzzi had a gritty feel and had to be cleaned before using. - The futon would not lay flat. - there are two coffee machines plus the Keurig. However, there was only one coffee pot. - it would be nice to have additional coffee cups.

What a beautiful home! Everything was clean and well appointed. Views of the ocean are spectacular. Two hot tubs plus kiddie pool and regular pool. We were traveling with lots of teenagers and were thrilled to find we could not hear them when they were on the bottom floor and we were on the top floor! So, a very well constructed home. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was large, tons of space. I would definitely stay here again! The only draw back I could find is the master on the top floor doesn’t have deck access or views of the ocean.

This is a lovely house! We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and all of the great gathering spaces. The kitchen is nice and large and easy for a bunch of people to cook in, tho was missing key elements like cutting boards and pot holders- probably just needs to be restocked after a busy season! We loved the hot tub, too, but were a little disappointed that it wasn't very hot. Temp read 101, and wouldn't go higher, but it wasn't really 101. Overall a great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carolina Dream. The views were incredible, and we loved having our own access to the beach! There was room for everyone (13 of us), and the elevator and accessible bathroom were perfect for my husband's grandmother. The Village Realty staff was very responsive and friendly. I would rent again for sure!

Wonderful house!! LOVED the extra seating area in the main living room, allowed everyone to hang out together on the same floor. Also loved the mid level den for the gamers in the family!!! Only complaints....There were no small to medium pots in the house and there were TONS of flies. We will be back next year!!!

This is the fourth year we've stayed at this home and we'll be back again next year! We love everything about it - the location, the gathering space and the private baths in most of the rooms. The kitchen is well stocked. The heated pool is a favorite as is the hot tub. The home is the perfect place to get away and feel a bit pampered! Even Jose couldn't take away the joy of the being at the beach!

Our very large family enjoyed a great week here with plenty of space to eat, sleep, hang out and even find some quiet time! The decks were awesome as was the pool area where we spent a lot of our time. The kitchen and bar area were well stocked with every cooking utensil imaginable making it very convenient to feed our large group. Kitchen storage was adequate as well. Only two minor suggestions......more than one broom is needed to keep all the floors swept and more kitchen towels were needed. We never did get the house speakers to play which was a disappointment as it would have been nice to have music at the pool. Overall a great house, we'll definitely look to be back!

Nice house. It was very clean except one pillow case had a blood stain on it. Great items in kitchen except frying pans. They need replacing. Great view of ocean. Nice area for parking. Really enjoyed our stay. Will return and hopefully stay at this house again. Love Village Realty. Nice folks very easy reservation, check in, and check out.
