"We have been vacationing with our extended family in Ocean Sands in Corolla every August for more than 20 years now and have rented many properties in Ocean Sands D and E. As the family has grown we are up to 5 houses most years! This house is new to us but it is now one of our favorites. The view is fantastic and we did see deer, bunnies and a fox. The decks shaded over during the afternoon so it was a perfect spot to enjoy happy hour in the afternoons. The interior of the house seems freshly and nicely decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the linens provided with the house were better than those we have been provided with in past rentals. There were 5 bikes at the house and lots of other beach gear. There was even a closet stuffed with toys, books and games. The pool is not very large but the pool deck area is nicely done with lots of space and plenty of chairs. Beach access is good but do not count on the short-cut that is shown on the satellite map view. That is because the HOA has recently stopped maintaining the trail that connects Ocean Sands Section E with Section D and it has now grown in to a point where it is nearly impassible. The HOA explained that they stopped maintaining the natural trail because the relatively new paved county bike path alongside Route 12 connects those sections. The county bike path is a terrific addition to Corolla but it does nothing for the beach access shortcut that was so handy for this house. Even without the shortcut the house is still not very far from the beach but be aware that you will probably have to walk around on the roads in Section E to reach the beach. The beach itself is very good and one advantage of being adjacent to the natural preserve is that the beach adjoining the preserve tends to be less crowded--although you are also further from the life guards. I think that as long as you are not counting on walking straight out your door to the beach--you will find this property will exceed your expectations and contribute to a great OBX experience."

"This was the first time my Brother vacationed with us in the Outer Banks and we all had a wonderful time. at this home. Our stay here was too short and we all decided that 2 weeks is the best option. We loved where this House was located, great views of ocean as well as vegetation and wild life. ( We were fortunate enough to see deer, rabbit and a what appeared to be a coyote) The birds were so happy here and would sing every morning. This house is located across the street from Harris Teeter and DUCK DONUTS!!! It was wonderful having groceries so close. This is teh first house we`ve stayed in that offered so many amenities such as bikes, pool toys and a wagon, thank you that is truly a wonderful thing to have. The pool is absolutely lovely and that is what made the stay. The one thing that would be nice at the pool would be an umbrella but we understood that not all renters would be mindful of the weather. Sadly, we were not able to get into the ocean due to rough currents for a majority of our stay. We did have 2 issues that we needed to call Village Realty for and they were prompt in responding, thank you! The one item that we did have major issues with was the wifi, the connection was awful so bad we could not even stream music. This house is in need of a booster for the wifi or the router needs to be relocated so that the entire home has a connection. We had a lovely time at this house and would rent here again."

"This is by far the best stocked beach house I have stayed in! No need to pack a lot of kitchen items, towels, blankets or Beach and pool toys! There are plenty of dishes, glasses, bowls, pots and pans! Downstairs you will find a surfboard several boogie boards and beach frisbees, floaties, pool noodles, etc.. There are also several beach toys to choose from. They have three bikes for your riding pleasure during your stay. The shopping center is right across the street a mere six minute walk. Harris Teeter, ice cream shop, smoothie shop, and more! The view from the 3rd deck is gorgeous. You have a beautiful view of the sunrise and the water. The house has a washer and dryer which is very convenient.. The walk to the beach Is short - probably about 5 minutes. This is a very family-friendly community and all of the locals and guests were super friendly but not invasive. Plenty of room on the beach to have your pick of the spot you would like - no overcrowding here whatsoever! There were five of us: grandparents, mother, two toddlers, and a teenager We loved every day we were there. There is an area at the back of the house where no homes are allowed to be built. Which makes it very nice not to have neighbors right on top of you. Such gorgeous views with some sand and lots of small trees and green shrubbery. During our stay we captured a beautiful picture of a deer walking in the morning as the sun was rising. We saw a fox in the evening and lots of bunny rabbits. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed the beach in the morning, A little shopping and sightseeing in the afternoons, and the pool in the evening! We truly hope to stay here again in the future.
