Back at the house, an expansive east-facing deck is where you can soak up the the sun by day and lounge under the stars at night. Fire up the grill downstairs and serve your fresh catch at the picnic table while enjoying the refreshing coastal breezes. Inside, you can still admire the ocean view from the comfortably furnished great room with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. Whether you're watching a movie or preparing a meal in the kitchen, the open-concept layout means everyone can still socialize. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the top level with the living area, including a spacious king suite with private bath. The fourth bedroom is located by itself on the lower level with a third full bath - the perfect option for giving kids a space of their own. Bed and bath linens are always included at no extra charge, and the beds will be made with fresh sheets and pillowcases prior to your arrival.

The town of Rodanthe is the ideal setting for a laid back, slower-paced vacation while still having conveniences and dining options nearby. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or enjoy the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound.

Can’t stay an entire week? Islander is available for short stays and offers flexible arrival/departure options for those who like to plan ahead. In-season partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance, and guests can choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out.
