Outer Banks Gobbler 5K & Fun Run
Thursday, November 28, at 8 am in Nags Head.
Run, Eat, Nap. Start off your Thanksgiving morning with a calorie deficit by traversing a family friendly 5K course thround the Village at Nags Head.
OBX Go Far Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run
Thursday, November 28 at 8:30 am, behind Town of Southern Shores complex.
Lace up your sneakers and come on out to run or walk with us, then enjoy a hot breakfast.
Garden to Hearth: Heritage Cooking & Food Preservation
Friday, November 29, 10 am to 4 pm.
Experience fall food traditions and learn how Roanoke Island families prepared for winter during the 1850s. Bring a non-perishable item for the food pantry for $1 off the standard admission of $8 for adults and kids over 5. Kids 5 and under are free.
Hanging With Santa & Kites with Lights
Friday & Saturday, November 29 & 30.
Kitty Hawk Kites store in Nags Head at milepost 13. Pictures with Santa, light show with kites on Jockey’s Ridge on the 30th, great sales and more—all free.
Grand Illumination
Friday, November 29 from 6 to 9 pm.
Opening celebration of WinterLights at the Elizabethan Gardens. Festive food and drink in the Embellished Hall, cozy fire pits on the Great Lawn.
